I hired him to install a new vent on my new roof and his worker marked up new shingles while installing the vent on an extremely hot day. An inspector for my insurance company stated that the marked shingles could cause leaks. I informed him of the problem and he wouldn't do anything about it unless I was present the entire time he was fixing the problem. I also hired him to do a paint job and it was not completed. I marked the areas that were not finished, as he requested, and his worker again didn't complete the job. Once again he wanted me to be present until the work was finished. I work 6-7 days a week and cannot babysit a contractor.

Joe made an effort to work with me on the time even though I needed the entire project done in 1 day and only gave him a few days notice. He gave me a great price, beating another company by $0.50 per square foot. Chris was very professional, quick, and made sure I knew everything I needed to about how to take care of the floors. Chris and Gus stayed late into the night to make sure the project was completed to our satisfaction. The floor looks amazing and we love it. I will definately call Joe and Chris if we need any other work done.

I was dissappointed that he did not actually do the work, but had his people do it. I think that should be said up front so that when unanticipated things pop up, one doesn't have to start renegotiating with the on site person as a go between. The work done was good, no complaints, it was just the getting there. We believe in fair pay for fair labor, not real interested in money games.

Joe diagnosed my problem and called a professional window installer to measure and give me a quote on replacing my window.

I had the worst experience. Joe was very rude and was interested only in trying to charge me as much as possible. When he came in for estimate, he first quoted $575 for the job and when I told him that I can only afford around $200, he said it is possible to do it for $260 (4hours at $65/hour) and he made me sign a contract which has a cancellation fee of $175. After the person he brought with him took out the old damaged flooring after 4 hours, Joe threatened me that if I did not agree to pay him for aditional 4 hours, he would leave the job unfinished and take the $260 for 4 hours. I could not belive a professional would act this way.

I m very happy with Joe's vinyl installation in my mobile home. He was very personable. The contractor he sent was very detailed and accurate. I'm calling him for my next project. Thanks, Joe!

The contractor was thorough going over my requests and he individual that actually did the work was absolutely wonderful. He discussed everything with me and we were on the same page, so to speak, about the outcome. I will hire them for future upgrades or repairs.

Was on time for the appointment. Joe gave a clear and concise of the bid. The fence was repaired and looked great. The fence was repaired before the predicted finish time. Will definitely have Joe the Handyman back for more projects!

Joe did my initial consult, and wrote down exactly what I wanted done on the estimate, which was to frame in a recess in my wall, and to make sure I had studs on 16 inch centers, so I could hang a large flat panel TV in that spot. Then he sent someone else (Terry) to actually do the job, and although he told me he had explained to him what I needed, apparently that wasn't the case, because first of all, Terry did not frame in the entire hole, and then didn't put in the 16 inch center studs that I had requested. This didn't click with me until after he had already put up the sheetrock and mudded it in. Well, from that point, he was determined that he wasn't going to pull that sheetrock back out, and told me I could screw a board to the outside of the wall to mount my TV on, and that I was going to be real happy with that. Well, I'M NOT REAL HAPPY WITH THAT! But, being the honest person that I am, I went ahead and paid for the job, but I don't feel like I could recomment your services to anyone after this experience. I really feel like Joe should have told Terry to redo it, but he obviously didn't care that the job wasn't done right.

I had Joe quote several different jobs. He did not pay attention to what I told him I wanted done; instead he came up with the way he wanted to do it. The subcontractors he sent out either couldn't do the job or did mediocre work. The plumber cut the lateral brace in a load bearing wall and his only response was "I'm a plumber not an engineer". Be wary...Joe is a nice guy, but the work is sub-par.

Made sure he crossed all t's and dotted all i's before he left. Spent extra time for small things and followed instructions well.

I would recommend Joe as a good resource for home repairs.

He agreed to a start and completion date, but stopped work midway through the project. It took several calls to get the work completed. He broke a sprinkler pipe in the course of the work (not necessarily a big issue), but when he repaired it he left the pipe at ground level where it could freeze rather than ten inches down where it was before he broke it. He covered it with about a quarter inch of dirt to hide it. He works cheap, but this is no bargain.

He was flexible with his quote and worked with our customer's schedule. There was a miscommunication between his crew and our customer that caused us to back out of this project. After clearing up this matter with Joe I am confident this was a simple misunderstanding and will use him on future projects.

Joe was early for our appointment but called first to make sure that worked for me. He was very informed and professional. We are waiting to schedule the work but I would definitely recommend him based on what I have seen so far.
