Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
John is not an ethical person. He doesn't care about the client or the job, only wants to make sure he covers his butt. For my job he actually hired a handyman! John is not a handyman. He's all about writing up the contract and buying the materials. He planned to finish trimming out a window in a shower using wood, with no water proofing. I googled some waterproof solutions, but because they were more complicated and intense, he wanted out. Do not hire this guy, he could care less about you and your project!

"Hi, I am writing to address any remarks from this customer. We have completed work amounting to $1500, which she appeared to have no concerns with, except for the trim and tile surrounding the shower window. This was something that was gonna take more time and was gonna cost additional money and the scope of our day was for two handymen to be there on site all day. We were on site for over eight hours and did not charge her any additional cost.. I did give her some options due to not enough tiles to do the job correctly to trim around the window or a credit which is the direction she did choose. We always work with our customers to try to satisfy any concerns and solve the problems at the end of the day we did that by giving her a credit for the window trim."

We hired John B. Ventures to help us renovate our home in Lake Villa, with drywall repair (walls/ceilings), painting and electrical troubleshooting & repairs.
John not only completed the projects on time, as scheduled, but did an outstanding job in everything tasked, at a very competitive price. We were satisfied beyond all expectations with the end results, and each day everything was cleaned-up! A+

Main job was removal of whole house fan, install drywall and insulation, and paint ceiling. Also replaced old smoke and CO detectors and patched as needed. Job was completed within the week of initial contact. Estimate for job was reasonable, especially compared wih other estimates received. I especially appreciated that John provided thorough explanation of everything to be done. Will definitely hire this contractor for future jobs!

John was highly efficient, communicated well, and did an excellent job! He has the knack for explaining electrical jargon at a high level that helps you better understand the issue. He is also extremely friendly and understanding. We had an initial problem with payment via Zelle, and he was willing to follow me to my bank to get a check instead! Highly recommend John to anyone needing electrical work done. He is definitely my go-to now.

I would avoid this business at all costs. I hired them for my home in Barrington Hills and made the mistake of paying them upfront and they DID NOT COMPLETE the job and they now refuse to take my calls and are avoiding me. I've dealt with many vendors over the years on home projects and this company is by far the worst. If you hire them have them do the project FIRST before paying them as they will not do what they are contractually required to do. I consider this conversion and will file a lawsuit soon against them.

I have a home surround sound system that is 16 years old and the remote to control my stored music stopped working, so I called Get Wired Now, they came out promptly and using extensive research got the old remote to control the whole system again, I can't thank them enough, and the cost was very reasonable.
