Asphalt Shingle Roofing Installation and Replacement
In 2020 I contracted John Beal to replace my upper roof in Du Quoin. During the last heavy rain, the roof leaked in my upstairs bathroom. I turned in my warranty claim and after inspection, it turned out that John Beal did not replace the whole section. I have saved emails stating that I wanted my entire upper roof replaced. The roof is too high to know that section was not done at the time of service. John Beal is refusing to correct their error. I have filed a complaint with the BBB,

They did a good job. The current shortage of workers was a problem that cause the work to take longer than planned. They have stood behind their work and fix any problems promptly.

Roofing was repaired nicely. It blends in with the original materials. Siding was done separately a few weeks later. It looks nice and clean. He even hung a new light for me. Both gentlemen did a great job and kept the area neat.

They did what they said they would do. Showed up on time, tore off old roof, cleaned up most of the old roof, started installing new roof and new vents, kept cleaning up. When they were done, hard to tell they were even here. Ryan their follow up guy showed up next day, finished his portion, inspected the roof, fixed a few minor details and done. Would hire them again. Already multiple neighbors commenting about the new roof and how well the job looks.

The roof repair work and chimney work was done excellent. The technicians were professional and pleasant. Dan Pulley the production manager took personal attention and accommodated our schedule and budget. Project was a great success.

I had been working with another roofing company to fix this issue (it was minor), but causing a major leak in the house. The other company continued to reschedule the appointment. I finally went on Home Advisor. A woman from John Beal called right away and took my information and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Eric from John Beal went out to the home and fixed the issue right away, and they charged less than the first company that kept rescheduling. Eric even checked the rest of the roof and made sure all caulking and other flashing was secure. THANK YOU!!! - Happy Customer

Eric was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very detailed in his work. For example he found loose shingles even though we called for leak in the metal pan. Of the 4 roofers we got bids from, this is the only one that actually went on my roof! I also appreciated the follow up note the day after the bid.

Repairs were made with different colored shingles. Did not replace lifted shingles. Did not match vented ridge cap. They did the bare minimum to this project. Did not account for all damage in original quote as asked.

The person that came by originally to look at the roof was very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything. We ended up doing a complete roof replacement with new gutters as well. All the work was completed on time. It looks great and they left things better than they found them as far as clean up goes. I highly recommend John Beal.
