I was talked into the thicker concrete by them assuring me I would not have cracks, my driveway cracked within 3 months of the job being completed.

The guy did not mention anything about our a/c drainage. Now we have water draining on our patio. Thanks dude, not.

Quick and fair estimate that they stuck to. Did not raise prices like 3 other contractors tried to do. Any issues, John worked out immediately and fairly. Showed up exactly when the said they would and even completed faster than I thought for a large job (15X28 ft back yard patio).

I hired Dugger Concrete to install an additional concrete parking pad behind my house. Initially, the work completed before pouring the concrete was satisfactory: 1. clearing out the area was accurate 2. framing the rectangular area was accurate except for the corner piece that was off by a few inches. I talked with Dave and asked him about installing expansion joint in between the existing pad and the new pad, the easement and the slab of the lanai and he said it wouldn't be a problem. The workers took the appropriate measurements and said it would be passed on to another crew. That afternoon i was told i had to call the concrete company to schedule and pay up front. The next day the slab was to be poured. The concrete company was at my home by 815, Dugger Concrete employees were late, supposably picking up expansion joint. Upon coming home, it was identified that the expansion joint was only used at the easement between my slab and the county curbing. I contacted John to tell him the issue and he said that expansion joint wasn't needed with his 13 years of experience. I told him as the consumer and what i requested should have been utilized. He requested payment and i informed him that the work wasn't complete and payment would only be given when the forms were removed. He wanted payment today, i asked him when the work was to be completed, he stated Saturday, and that is when i said i'd pay him. A few hours later he stated he'd complete the work tonight and i paid him the different between the quote and what i paid the contract company. In his opinion he said it looked good, I told him if he was paying for a service he wouldn't agree. Overall it looks fine with the exception of the expansion joint and the uneven corner pieces of my driveway.

BEWARE! We paid Dugger for concrete driveway and patios but Dugger did not pay his subcontractor - American Pumping - consequently a lien has been put on our property! We now go to court to settle this - All because Dugger did not pay his sub! Stay away from Dugger!
Response from Homeowner's Choice Concrete
"This by no means is not what happened whenever we got the job ready to go the homeowner made some areas bigger than what we originally estimated and did not tell me about it so once we poured the concrete it used a lot more concrete than I bid the job for so I explain that to the homeowner and she paid for the extra concrete then when we were finished the pump guy wanted to charge me more money for pumping more concrete because it went over what I originally estimated and she would not take care of that so I paid my part and she never paid hers for the overages"

Dugger Concrete beat out all of the other bids for concrete removal. They were eager to start the project and did a great job. They guys were also nice enough to remove some old wood from my property when they removed the concrete.

Quality job and good value. The problem here is the word of the owner. Dugger has you pay the cement company directly then deduct this from the bid amount. On our job we ordered and paid for concrete then paid Dugger the difference. It was found later that there was more concrete needed, I was told from Dugger to order the concrete and Dugger would reimburse us since we had fully paid already. I have emails from owner John Dugger promising reimbursement of the $485.65 on two different dates. To date he has not come thru with the payment.

"Yes this was a mis communication With the concrete plant. Not with me or homeowner the concrete plant told me one amount and charged homeowner card for another. This all happened around the week we got hit with hurricane and was shut down for almost 2 weeks with no power. This has been take. Care and o have spoken with the home owner"

I Hired Dugger Concrete to do my Drive way I overpaid for the cement due to Mr. Duggers error, He sent many text stating he would pay us back this has been going on since Sept 26 till Kow. He won't answer my calls nor has refunded us. He has no Mans word, Ill never Hire him again nor will I recommend him to anyone. I have seen other complaints and it seems he has an excuse for every thing. I have contacted BBB and also an Attorney.

Great job! The workers made sure to confirm exactly what we wanted done. Paying for the concrete directly to the concrete company was a plus, no worry about proof of payment for materials. Friendly, courteous, fast. Thanks guys.

This company is a nightmare to work with. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe all that was promised, but what a HUGE MISTAKE! I wasn't given a quote over the phone by David/JJohn and I asked that they come to look at the job and wanted the quote in writing. He came and said "no problem" and the job was agreed upon. Per David all would be completed within a week's time. The clean up would take a couple of days and then they would pour cement and then the final step. A two-men crew showed up with small dumpster. He said he wasn't told about the size of the job. He cleared as much as he could, said they would be back the following day, DIDN'T HAPPEN. The cement was poured the following day and stated they would be back the following day to complete but they needed to be paid. I said if they were coming back the following day, I would pay then, he said, we need to get paid. I paid them and they didn't come back. They do not return calls/texts/emails. I cannot access the back yard because of the debris left behind. The grass is at least 2' high. The cement has 7 cracks and it is not even nor did they come to seal or treat. It looks bad and there is section that is uneven. It is not 4". It is horrible. I had one of the workers come on his own and ACTUALLY APOLOGIZE for not coming back. He shook his head and said he would come back if authorized to do so. I spoke to John and he said his big truck was broken and it would be a couple of weeks. I've been waiting for over a month and nothing. Where is the warranty? Where is the satisfaction of a job well done. They are not taking my calls. I will be calling the BBB and WFTV9 and seek legal advise. I think I've waited long enough. Please, please read the reviews before you hire!!!!

I hired this company and boy was that a mistake! I am in the process of filing a better business complaint. They were just supposed to add concrete to the corners of my pool deck ( there used to be planters there) They added concrete but put in no drains, ruined my screen enclosure and brand new pavers with concrete that was splashed all. Not only that but they didn't even level the concrete so now the rain floods my pool deck every time. They kept promising to send their "BEST" guy to fix the disaster but he only showed up once 3 hours late and told us he didn't have the proper equipment to fix the mess the other 2 guys made. So he left and never came back. I wish I could leave a negative amount of stars because they were a disaster. I am truly amazed they are still in business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
