Bathroom Remodel
We are completely satisfied with our bathroom remodel by John Eno. John did not rush through to get the work done, He made sure he was satisfied with the outcome. I could tell he held a high standard for his work. He worked hard, Most times I think he barely took a lunch break. Both he and Michelle are easy to work with and friendly. We would definitely consider using him again for another project.

The project with Gohn went well. Compare to other contractors offered the best deal and personally participated on the project. We had a little hiccup with the paint, but he was gracious enough to throw that in at no charge! I'd definitely keep him on my list for future projects.

Didn't do well in the details. Looked like my jobs were rushed. Little things like bathroom tile was freehanded instead of using spacers. Didn't seal the tiles afterwards. Installed a sink before completing the cabinet so the facade door on the cabinet had to be glued on instead of screwed. The molding around the floor didn't have clean joints. Installed some doors backwards and took a while to return and fix. He did most work in a timely manner but the details are important.

Overall, he did a good job. Communicating what we wanted was really hard to do sometimes. We know alot about the project and could do alot of it ourselves, and we were really specific about how we wanted things done. Communicating that to Gohn was difficult. He's got alot of energy and is a bit high strung. It's hard to know if he's really listening. In the end it seemed to get through, especially with the guys working with him- They luckily seemed to get it. So we were able to achieve most of what we wanted. He did work quickly and skillfully especially with the tile.

I am satisfied with the final product, but the process was very painful. My entire house was extremely dirty due to demolition, which could have been prevented by putting up a plastic barrier. A picture was knocked off a bedroom wall (this was a bathroom remodel) leaving a gouge in the wallboard which required repair and repainting of the wall. Items stored in my unfinished basement were damaged while being moved by Gohn's crew. In general, I felt that Gohn and his crew did not respect my property and my home. Gohn originally estimated 5 days for the job, which ended up taking 9 days.

The job was initially done well and quickly, but there was some necessary touch up work that took a long time for the contractor to complete (although from what I understand there was a valid reason behind the not-so-prompt return for touch up work).

The installer rushed through the job and there was no follow-up after the counter was installed to check for any problems. There was also apparently some miscommunication between the estimator and the installer. We ended up with extra materials we didn't need. We did have to bring in a plumber and electrician after the counter installation at our expense to reinstall the sink and fix power outlets. It would have been nice to know this prior to the counter installation so we could have figured that into the overall price of the project (Gohn did reduce the estimated price of the job to compensate for not being able to reinstall the sink).

I received an estimate for replacement of wood flooring in kitchen. Gohn was very prompt in both arriving and sending the hard copy of the estimate. I would highly recommend this company.
