John provided great value and a quick turn-turnaround. I was building a small accessory storage structure that was large enough to require a building permit. I did the drawings and sent them to John for review and he specified framing hardware, foundation specs, and dimensional lumber sizes required by the building department. I will definitely use John in the future.

I give Mr. Oerter a good review. I actually hired 2 independent firms to assess the same question. John cost half as much, was faster & he was very willing to discuss options for the project. He explained that I was right in a gray area between ok & not ok. His advice was to beef up the structure some before renovating & this is what I'm going to do. The other firm gave me one sentence that said I was within limits and no additional structure was needed. They essentially gave the same answer, but I'm opting for "better safe than sorry". Thanks to Mr. Oerter.

John provided good value for services provided which was to review structural issues of a 20 year old home.

He can work any kind of stress analysis issue. He helped me figure out a safe post and beam roof support for a large shed. And he figured out the proper footings to match. He can also explain things on simple terms once he rolls all the numbers. John is the best!
