John Szilagyi General Contractor

John was very honest about what needed to be done. We walked around the house to see what was to be fixed. He came when he said he was.

Mr. Szilagyi called me the day before the scheduled appointment to confirm that he would be at my home at the agreed upon time. He showed up, did the job and made recommendations on other improvements that my home could use.

One of my rental properties was built in 1900 in historical area. I had such a hard time trying to find the right pro to repair the house until John. John was very experienced and professional, always prompt to the appointment, could work provide multiple options with pros and cons and made recommendation that was fit for the job. He did an outstanding job repaired the leaking from the flat roof and the old old window with very reasonable cost. The pros I met before all told me to replace the whole roof and the window because none of them was as experienced and honest as John. I am having him coming back to do more work on my properties.

Several things stood out. First, he pre-planned and had all the necessary materials with him upon arrival. His work was never interrupted to fetch something else he needed, thus he got the jobs done quickly. Second, he was flexible. I asked him if he could do a few, small extra things and he gladly obliged.

John did all the leg work to find a compatible siding to blend with our 6 year discontinued siding. He made the whole ordeal easy for us and his workmanship was flawless. John was fantastic. He replaced all of the supports on my 17-year old deck in addition to repairing the stairs. Now the deck is safe and secure for my family. He completed the job in one day and the quality of the work done was excellent. I would not hesitate to use John again in the future.

I had several random projects I needed to have completed based on an inspection report. John was able to complete all of them in a very timely manner. All projects have been completed successfully (at least based on my non-expert opinion :)

When he came to give me an estimate,he was on time and he is very knowledgable. Another contractor told me thatcher could do the job less than John's. He could not beat John's price. I've got other projects and John Szilagyi General Contractors is the company that I will continue to do business with. My husband recently died and I know he is looking down,proud of my decision to hire John. It is so comforting to know that I have found an honest contractor who's work is outstanding.
