Johnnie B's Carpet & Tile

Johnny was a very nice man but has much to desire on drywall work. The drywall work was fair. Could still see tape sticking through and seams were mostly visible. The texture was not consistent. Then he painted. For this he did NO PREP WORK. No masking, no drop cloths... nothing. Had to completely disassemble a brand new $300 light just to clean all the paint off and then reinstall. Did not remove a bathroom light AT ALL to replace a piece of ceiling drywall. Joint compound, paint, dust. All untouched when he left. Charged me $700 for about 5hours of work. Hopefully his flooring game is quite a bit better than his drywall and paint. Nice guy, SLOPPY work. Would NOT recommend.

Quality work and pleasant experience.

This guy is the real deal - he is experienced and easy going but does the work of a fine craftsman who is proud of his craftsmanship. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly for carpet work.

I removed a chair and added a cabinet in my RV. I was hoping to match the other counter top in the RV. I sent Johnnie B a picture and dimensions. He went to a supplier and found enough of the same color & pattern to do it. Then he drove 30 miles south to my place just to hold it up to make sure it was a match. This was BEFORE I had even decided on him. Then when he quoted a price below the other one I had, the decision was easy. The only reason for the 4.5 quality rating is that it had a scratch on the surface. But hey, it's an RV. We probably would have done that ourselves soon enough anyway.

Work was excellent. However, Johnnie rescheduled our first appointment and was over 15 minutes late for the new appointment.

Very enthusiastic and responsive. I wasn't completely satisfied with the result (the carpet patch job did not appear to be secured properly and came away from the underlayment, and the carpet on the stairs seems a little bald where it was folded over - possibly an indication of the carpet quality, and the padding is now uneven across the steps), but I did feel the price was fair even taking any issues into account, so I can't complain too much.

He was out 4 times to fix and had bad results, now it is worse. Not getting any response from him now.
