I worked with RB. At first, he was very friendly. The pricing details I received were a good deal. But when I asked him about getting a permit. He said since the job is less than 10% of the whole house plumbing, I would not need a permit. I had never heard such a thing, so I called WSSC to verify. And they said I would need a permit. Sadly I went with him still and had him get the permit. I should have gone with someone else. That was a red flag. He was very friendly. Work looked good. Until before the inspection. A friend and I closely looked at the pipe for the toilet. It needed the 5% downward grade to flow the water. He eventually fixed it and finally passed the inspection. The final invoice he gave me. He charged me $935 for the SDC charge. Said it was part of the permit fee. I did not know a permit fee could be so high since online it shows only the initial $240 fee I had already paid. I called WSSC and said I did not have to pay that fee. So once I spoke to RB, their excuse was that they had given me a cheap price. So basically he was using the fee to make up his profit. After going back and forth on this matter, they finally refunded me the fee. Sadly even with that, They did not do the work properly. My contractor had to redo a portion of his work. And he also labeled the basement as 1st floor and made me waste more money and time to fix his work.

I love these folks. I have been fortunate to know and work with the owner for many years now and he has done work for my house, as well as for my business. I recently had all the bathroom converted to touchless stuff in my restaurant bathrooms and had two instant hot water heaters installed. Excellent work, service and value.
