This was for a secondary home. The job started out great. Day one and two, things were really headed in a great direction. The owner then left a crew of guys in the home to do the work while he handled some personal things. This is where things went off the rails. The crew was untrained and had no supervision for days. The owner kept saying things would be fine when he was finished. They put up a lot of sheetrock, taped, and mudded, but did little to no sanding. They then primed and painted the ceiling and walls. I asked why they would paint without sanding the mud. The owner said that paint shows the imperfections so they could fix them. I had overpaid a little to this point trying to help with his personal issues but now I am in the hole, with an unfinished job. The home is worse than it was 2 weeks ago. Trash was left outside from the demo for 2 weeks until the neighbor finally hauled it away. I have layers of paint all over the floors that is not coming off. Not only do I have to finish this job, I now need new flooring. I continue to find beer cans around the property too. The owner has moved on to another job and says that I am on his time. This has been a nightmare.

I had some things around the house that needed to be repaired and installed, and Lopez Construction did an excellent job. Gave me a very reasonable quote, showed up on time, communicated well, and completed the job when they said they would. Wouldnâ t hesitate to use again, in fact, I have a few home renovations planned in the near future and I plan on using Lopez for them. Highly recommended!
