Jose Lawn Maintenance

Has always been willing to do whatever work I need, including gutters cleaned, hedge trims etc

I've hired Jose twice. Last year and this. Last year he did a beautiful job thatching a large lawn. This year I had the yards aerated, thatched and reseeded. They used the grass seed I had at my house. Jose had workers with him this year and they did a horrible job. I asked him to drop by the house so I could show him the many areas that had really bad thatch and moss, easily an inch of moss. He came by and made the excuse that they can't get it all. I said I understand that but this is a large area and if you went over it with the thatcher at all it should have gotten most of it. He repeated that they couldn't get it all and that I should wait 3 weeks and I would be so happy with how beautiful the lawn will look. It now has huge brown spots where the grass has died and the reseeding didn't take hold. I was going to put down moss killer after about a month but Jose said I could do that right away. I had the moss killer so he and his workers put it down. I think that's why I have brown areas all over. I waited 5 weeks and called him again. He asked me if I wanted him to do it again and I said yes. He didn't know what his schedule was I guess because he was going to call me and set a date. He didn't call so I finally did. We set a date but not a time. On that date I called him at 10 a.m. and he said that he would be by at 3 p.m. I hung up the phone and he immediately called back to tell me that he would have to charge me because he had to rent the thatcher and pay his workers. I balked!! I told him that, if the job had been done right the first time, he wouldn't have to come back and do it a second time. He kept saying he had to rent the thatcher so I asked him if he didn't have the money to do that. He said yes so I offered to give him the money and he could maybe mow my lawn a couple times.. We agreed, I thought, and I said I would see him at three. He never showed up and has never called. I just hired another Home Advisor professional to thatch the lawn. Jose doesn't it but he will be summoned to court soon. I was thoroughly disgusted. I really don't want to take him to court but I want to recoup the money I paid him for 2/3's of the bill ( the thatching and reseeding) along with the price of the grass seed. I will never hire Jose Lawn Service again

Jose's workers do a very through job, like I would do it myself.Their service allows me to remain in my home and enjoy my yard to the full extent.

We had them also do requested maintenance--weeding, mulching and pruning. Everything was done according to directions.

Very nice work - good experience - summer will be much better for me.
