I recently hired the company to install a concrete sidewalk and small adjoining patio. The entire proje t would require about 1 1/2 yards of material. Jouki's said it was a smLl project and that he would hand mix the concrete because for such a small oroject, ready mix would cost too much as he would have to buy a minimum amount. I got home one day to find only the sidewalk portion was done. When I called I was told that he'd forgotten to do the atio section. The original quote was for $1000. He asked for $500 for the portion that was done. I paid that amount. When his son picked up the check I show him what remained. He said they could finish it, but to get it done before they went on vacation. Over a month passed and I could not get an answer after several texts and phone calls when it would be done. Finally he responded and said his son could do it as "a side job". After another week went by I asked if it had been scheduled. Today I got a text where he said it would be another $1000 as concrete would be $500 and he already was out of pocket an extra $100 for the first portion. Apparently he used ready mix instead of hand mixing. When he said the initial quote was an estimate and it was only that, an estimate. He said it would be better if I found someone else. I wrote back that I would find someone else and that it was not a way to run a business. We shook hands on the deal, and he broke his word. It was NOT an estimate. This all started in June, and while the weather was a factor in the long delay, it was Jouki's that broke his word. For that reason alone, I would not recommend his company to do work for me. By the way, the total amount of concrete ia about 1 1/2 yards and redi-mix costs about $150 a cubic yard before short load penalties and delivery. My advice, get your quote in writing and ask for firm pricing.

After trying to get this contractor to smooth out the surface of my garage floor he came back once but refused to come back and complete the job. I had to rent a grinder and smooth it out myself. I was hoping he would pay for what it cost me to finish the job but he no longer communicates with me at all.

Color in concrete not even, stairs crooked and not to code, drilled 3 holes to drain water in low spot and I have had to poke the holes with screwdriver to get them to drain 3 times in a week, stamping uneven and double stamped, patched stairs and now uneven color and stamping pattern even worse.

John was amazing to work with. He is knowledgeable and extremely thorough in his work. My stamped brick patio was a complete mess. John restored it and I could not believe how great it came out!! It looks brand new. I would highly recommend him to anyone. If you need any type of concrete work done... don t hesitate to call Jourki s Concrete&Stamping. You won t be disappointed

They did a beautiful job. They're very professional which is hard to find in a contractor these days.
