JR and his team did an excellent job of turning our patio into a wonderful outdoor space! Prior to the installation our patio was not enjoyable when direct sunlight to our patio and no protection from bugs such as mosquitoes and bees. Now the patio is more of an additional room for outdoor activities for our guests. Excellent job JR and I highly recommend them to any especially if you are looking for great quality, best customer service and pricing.

Ramiro is fantastic!! We went out for 3 bids on a Friday to get our solar screens done. Ramiro contacted us on a Saturday - the other 2 did not. And he came out and measured before we even got a call back from the other company and the final company never called us back. He is so professional and had our screens done so quickly. They look fantastic!! We could not be happier. If you need solar screens done, you HAVE TO call Ramiro with JR Solar Screens!

Ramiro @JR solar screens did an excellent job making a custom ceiling to floor screen for our sliding glass door. He came out took all the measurements needed with samples and when I placed the order he came with a ready to install screen door. The installation wasn’t easy as he needed to make room by removing a few panels off of the deck and replace them perfectly. The wife and I are very happy with having fresh air with no bugs. Our project was to replace 8 window bug screens with frames & 1 patio door bug screen with frame. Ramiro contacted me within an hour & visited the same day to view the project. Price was reasonable & whilst we had concerns about the color of the mesh screen, he promptly brought samples for us to view. The job was completed ahead of schedule & we are totally satisfied & would reccomend him without hesitation. Did I mention that he’s personable & professional? HomeAdvisor uses an extensive screening process to screen businesses and business owners/principals. We perform this screening when a business applies to join our network and, if the business is accepted, whenever concerns are brought to our attention. If you have concerns that a pro in our network doesn't meet these standards, please contact us to investigate. We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
