Save yourself time and a headache and DO NOT hire JCGL. We hired him for a backyard remodel. He estimated it would take one month to complete. After NINE months, the project was still not completed so we hired someone else to complete the job and fix the multiple errors left behind. They also left debris and messes behind that we were responsible for cleaning up. The work they did complete was subpar. We had sprinkler issues, uneven sod, cracked and chipped cement, and an unfinished fence. Juan also proved to be difficult to get ahold of the longer the project went unfinished and he was always full of excuses. Our last contact with Juan was over a month ago when one of his guys damaged a piece of our fence. We asked him to give us the name of the piece so we could order another one. We reached out a few times, but eventually stopped when we realized he was not going to finish this project. I would not recommend him. Please do not waste your time.

Juan always returned a text if you have a question. Any questions about the job or changes were received well. Very good work, and they were always punctual and friendly.

We wanted to redo the landscape on our hill. Juan texted us trees that we agreed upon, but he brought trees that where quarter of the size. So we went to Home Depot and purchased many plants on our own. Originally, he left the job as it was, unfinished, with plastic in view. The only way he could make us happy was to charge us for mulch, that we had agreed upon. Then, to our amazement, he said he will have to charge for labor also. It was so ugly we were forced to comply to his demands. It felt like extortion. His workers were great Juan was nice. However, we are very sorry we gave him so much money before the job was finished. Unfortunately, we learned our lesson with regards to paying someone before they finish the job. I would not recommend!

He is not on time most of the time, did not do what he said most of the time. Did not complete the job. Took the money and never answered many attempts to contact him. Disappeared for 2 weeks no contact never told us he had a family emergency and would not be available for 2 weeks. The person that was left in charged never followed up on contacting us.

Juan has taken personal care from start to finish of the project. He has a very professional staff , on time every time. The project was completed on time with high quality and on budget . Post completion - Service and Warranty support has been very professional and diligent as well !! Overall would highly recommend them to any similar projects.

The respectful, hardworking and knowledgeable crew is a direct reflection of Juan Carlos himself. All large projects face scheduling issues at some point but Juan Carlos s consistent line of communication eliminates the guesswork and frustration that keeps the scope of work on point. That great ability alone is only exceeded by the quality of work.

is an outstanding company ! They completely landscaped our back yard including, clearing a large hill, clearing the yard, building a retaining wall, laying decomposed granite walkways, laying a 16' x 19' patio, building a 20' planter, laying 4 drip systems to the different areas, planting 4 fruit trees to complete a mini orchard, laying decorative rock and mulch where appropriate, selecting and planting the appropriate plants and bringing our ideas to a clear vision. The job took a total of 4 weeks which is outstanding when you consider the amount of preparations that went into the job. The workers were very polite and professional (they even put up with being bothered by our new puppy occasionally!). They worked very neatly, never leaving supplies piled on the drive way for the next day. When checked in with us almost every day to see if we were satisfied with the progress of the job and how it was coming out. I will definitely use him again for future landscaping projects and recommend to all my friends. They were OUTSTANDING!

My rating is a bit tinged because of delays in completing the work, but that was due to the fires in the area. I probably would rate higher if there was better communication so that I didn't have to wonder if the crew was coming or not to complete the work that was started. His employee Juan did concrete work for me and I want to acknowledge how hard he worked. He is a keeper.

Juan's work was sub standard and never came back to finish fixing the problems. I had to hire another contractor to fix the sprinklers that were not connected and pouring out water under the concrete that he poured. I trusted his promises and he did not keep them.

This project took a long time but it was definitely worth it. The craftsmanship is great! We had pavers installed, lighting, and a planter box. The project changed and evolved as we went along. Juan was very accommodating.

Juan was great through the initial process. We did everything via text and email and discovered we underestimated the sod required. He was really responsive. Did the work in one day instead of two. All great. It was after where we had an issue with our sprinkler box and a few drain caps...have NEVER heard back after multiple texts and calls. A real disappointment from an otherwise good experience.

Juan was incredibly helpful, cooperative and patient with the garden project as it evolved. The whole team was very pleasant and dedicated to task as they transformed the garden from the ground up and we are delighted with the outcome. We have no hesitation in recommending this company!

I could not be happier with the job Juan Carlos Landscaping did on my backyard remodel. Juan helped me with the design and worked with our budget. The job was supposed to take a week, or so, but rain was expected, so his crew worked from sunrise to sundown and got the job completely done in TWO days! The work is absolutely top-notch and is better than I have received in the past, from much more expensive landscapers. I could not recommend them any more strongly.
