Although the estimate was higher than expected, they worked with me to make the project affordable. I observed the entire process, from the initial interior investigation, followed by exterior repairs that addressed the root cause to the final interior restoration. Carlos did an outstanding job on a challenging kitchen repair. He carefully removed our upper cabinets, opened the ceiling for HVAC work, then restored everything so perfectly that you would never know anything had happened. The drywall repair, texture matching, painting, and cabinet reinstallation were all flawless. What impressed us most was his responsiveness. We were under a tight deadline preparing our home for sale, and Carlos fit us into his schedule over a holiday weekend on very short notice. We have used KC Home Improvement for the past 5 years on several home improvement projects both large and small. They just installed new baseboards in a bedroom and will be starting a bathroom project within a couple of weeks. They do great work and they cleanup!!

I had an emergent situation where my ceiling collapsed in my rental and my tenant was moving in in 4 days. KC did work on another house in the neighborhood and had just finished the job. I caught them as they were leaving the parking lot. Gave me an estimate on the spot. Showed up in 3 days. Did a great job. Thanks KC for getting me out of a tight jam. Would use them again.

I was concerned because my shudder needed to be reinstalled on the second floor exterior wall of my home AND it was a windy day. The team took the proper precautions and completed the job without delay. The cost WAS exactly as estimated. SUPER WORK! VERY SATISFIED!

KC home improvements was very professional. Their attention to detail is over the charts. Their price for the work done in my home was very cost effective. Even if my wife had a thousand questions, Carlos and Johnny were patient to answer and explain each one of them. I have had other companies do work in my home and it doesnâ t compare with the quality and integrity of KC home improvements.

Carlos Castro, the owner, is very greedy and dishonest. I gave him 2 jobs previously and for the third huge project, I worked with him out of TRUST. Big mistake! I had him do several things for my townhome and my realtor was giving me different contractors but I thought I would let Carlos be the **one man-guy** and allowed him to compete for the prices. So, we ended up with $11,200 for a lot of work plus $100 extra for a minor roof seal. All was well. I gave him a downpayment of $6000 and mistakenly wrote him the wrong amount for the final check for 5,900, so, I overpaid him by $600. On the final day, while we are talking about future projects for my home, I said, **Ok, I am going to give you this final check but promise me you will email me the invoice tonight**. Again, I thought the guy could be trusted... BIG MISTAKE. We were very cordial when we parted ways. A few days later, realizing he had not sent me the invoice, I tried contacting him. He suddenly ghosted me! And I reconciled my bank and found the overpayment and I just felt sick to my stomach because then I realized, he was ghosting me because he knew I found out about the overpayment. It was too late to do a stop payment because he cashed it immediately. He also did not send me the invoice still up to this date. Thank God I wrote the checks to the business name so at least I can get IRS to go after him for a 1099MISC. I talked to a common connection of ours who actually referred me to him and that was when he sent me one text message suddenly making up a story about a disagreement on the carpet work that NEVER happened. Claiming how he is losing money so he should be entitled to that overpayment. The two weeks the work was being done, there were no issues until I found out he wanted to keep the $600 overpayment. Dirty business indeed. He blocked my phone number and does not have the guts to even talk to me on the phone. Also the quality of work is substandard. The walls per blasted with spray paint and know there are bubbles of different sizes. There are some areas where they missed a second coat. I also had them re-grout my bathroom . Currently there is sand all over the bathroom. Carlos Castro is a shameful man. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM OR THIS COMPANY. Since he did not give me an invoice, I will make sure to contact consumer services and also Prince William County and get his company investigated. I will also reach out to IRS since he did not want to provide his TAX ID for an appropriate 1099 tax form. ****UPDATE***** It is really funny that he suddenly disappeared and no longer wants to talk to me after I discovered the overpayment and yet he responded to the review. He never picked up his phone to actually talk to me about the overpayment. Carlos, I know you are not going to give me my money back but at least have the decency to send me an invoice and enter your tax ID in a 1099 form so I can appropriately file this as an expense.

Quality of work was not worth the money. An installed closet door fell out of the railing within one week.

The project was to paint my kitchen and repair a hole in the ceiling. They showed up on time, and finished the project quicker than expected. Final project turned out great. I've got another project that I'm planning for and will definitely be calling Carlos to do the job.

Carlos did an excellent and prompt job painting the exterior trim and box window of our townhouse. I highly recommend his services.

I had my master bathroom remodeled and the person who was responsible to remodel mess up the ceiling. He cut all around the bathroom ceiling and he push it, so apparently there were a gap. I was very worried how this big problem could be fixed. It was very difficult to find a company to come and take a look at. Some companies asked me to send pictures, other said it can not be fixed unless filling the space between the ceiling and the wall (which was tiled from the floor to the ceiling). I only fond two companies to come to my house. The first one said to place a crown mold, which I do not like, and KC Home Improvements told me to place another drywall on the ceiling. (The existing ceiling could not be taking off because I had done last year a blow-in-insulation). Carlos game the price right way and put me on schedule. He sent me his crew on Monday. He guys cover everything on the bathroom. I had new light, mirror, double vanity. Sealed the bathroom door so no dust would come to my bathroom. And they come back, Wednesday to sand and painting. WOW! The job looks absolutely gorgeous! They did a top-notch work. Perfect!!! I am so happy with the all process. I did not have to protect anything at all. His crew work quietly, are very clean, and orderly. They are very nice, very polite. Iâ m thrilled! Carlos forgot that I told him I had my own painting so his crew had already painting the ceiling. As soon I told them that, they call Carlos and Carlos told me that they would come back to paint again the ceiling using my paint. This was a very good response from him. He made no problem with that. As a matter of fact, they came today Thursday. Did again an excellent quality work. Everything is clean. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KC HOME IMPROVEMENT! THIS WAS ONE OF THE FEW AND BEST COMPANY THAT I WORK WITH. I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING FROM THE START TO THE END AND DEFINITELY WOULD USE AGAIN.
