We were officially established in 1999, but KC TileMan has over 20 years of experience, serving our local community. We were disappointed. Messy is an understatement. He cut the tile in our garage in June. He never wiped his feet. We covered our granite counter top but he did not cover the tub. We had black marks and tile dirt embedded in our tub. He did not caulk around the soap dish or shower head. He did not grout between the last tile and the new baseboards he installed. He did not measure the bottom tiles correctly so left a huge gap with no grout. He chipped a piece of the baseboard and didn't tell us nor did he do a finished work on the baseboards nor cut it right.. Sat. he brought his young son who left our door open and we have a dog.

He came in a timely manner to do the work we were requesting. Tracked a lot of debris in the house, didn't remove the trash that was created. His work was fine but we didn't feel it was entirely finished when he left and we had to seal and caulk ourselves. His fee was reasonable for the work he did, so I would say we got our money's worth.

It's true what I read from other reviews: this guy is messy. So be prepared to clean up after him. He's a bit sloppy in that area. But for the price, which was the cheapest than all the others I got quotes from, it was still worth it. I'd rehire him.

He was able to do the job on the weekend. He laid the tile on Saturday and grouted on Sunday. Great Job!!!! I was able to get my carpet on Thursday.

Steve Miller did an excellent job on our tile shower. The end result is beautiful. He showed up on time every day and completed the work as quoted. I gave a lower rating on customer service because I feel he should bring drop cloths to protect customer's floors and vanities if he is going to use these areas for his heavy tools. I understand it is a messy job, but preventative measures can be taken. I would hire him again.

We appreciate Steve coming out on a Saturday to bid the job and working on a Saturday. He was prompt each day, and is timely in responding to e-mails. We're very pleased with his tile work. But we're upset with the mess he left. I e-mailed him to ask why there was a thick layer of dust on the ledge and walls. Again, he was prompt and explained it was due to polishing and offered to clean it up on Monday. My boyfriend spent 4 hrs cleaning up. Plus Steve didn't put the hose back at the end of project and would leave the garage door open each night. If you don't care about a mess, Steve's work is great. I rate him sub-par on cleanliness though.

We are very pleased with the end result of our backsplash. Steve did the job quickly, on-estimate and on-schedule. There was a little more clean-up left than we would have liked when he finished up. But all-in-all, it was a relatively easy process. He was very friendly and professional. We would use him again.

Less than expected professionalism. Faulty shop vac blew dust all over kitchen. Didn't protect surrounding tile when removing grout.

"Sorry about the dust, but this job was only remove and repair of one Tile, and done after hours. I usually setup a dust machine, carpet protector, tracking paper, drop clothes, ect. to keep the dust out of the work area. Could not do that in this case. But, Customer Is Always Rite!"

Steve was prompt in contacting me, once I submitted my query to Servicemagic. His bid was very reasonable and he responded quickly to my numerous emails before, and during, the project. We had him tear out our entire master shower & floor, which was poorly constructed when we built our home in 2000. We also tore out the entry and fireplace, as we were tired of the orig tile Steve did a great job with all of it. He also installed the heated mats that I purchased online...which I highly recommend. Steve is not only an honest and friendly guy, but a skilled craftsman...and you will get a good value should you select him for your project.

Steve did an awesome job with our floor tile. The job was huge (over 800 square feet) and we have had several other contractors in our house since who have commented on what a great job he did and how the floor is really beautiful. When other professionals notice, that says a lot. Our job has to be done in phases, so Steve will be coming back to finish the floor later. Steve works very hard and his price was quite reasonable. Steve was great. He kept us informed daily on how the custom shower and 500+ square feet of basement floor tiling was proceeding. He explained the options we had each step of the way. He addressed our concerns immediately. He started each day at the time he stated he would be there. Steve is very trustworthy.

Steve remodeled two of our bathrooms. In our master bath we had an old shower pan that always had standing water. He ripped that out and built a new pan that makes all the water drain right out. His workmanship is impecable and I will definitly use him again for my next project. His pricing was very fair and I feel that I got way more than I paid for. He also got us a great discount on the tile that we purchased. I love my new bathrooms thanks to Steve. He is courteous and very easy to work with. Use KC TILEMAN if you want a great job done.
