Outstanding product at a fair price. Price actually went down slightly from initial estimate. No price increase from signed contract. We had initial issues dealing with them, as they aren't used to dealing with condo associations. Initially, they wouldn't give us a bid unless all three homeowners were present to accept the bid. This caused no end of confusion and at least a 4-week delay. Also had to request a new sales rep to get around this issue. Then, the bid came in and did not include scaffolding -- we were told that any job requiring scaffolding in San Francisco requires a separate scaffolding contract with one of three city-certified scaffolding companies. But that they would take care of everything and all we would have to do is cut a separate check to the scaffolding company. This turned out to be a half-truth at best. We waited two months while one homeowner raised the funds for the job. All KDesigners did in regard the to the scaffolding company was make the initial calls -- it was still up to us to co-ordinate schedules, obtain permission from the neighbors, and work through any other problems. One neighbor was very persnickety about granting permission for the work to be done, and caused another 6-week delay. (Not KDesigner's fault, directly, but irritating to everyone involved.) In short: the work will get done, but if you aren't doing a single-family home and don't have funds immediately available, expect problems.

The installers (Dave and Steven) went way out of their way to ensure a successful install, even replacing rotted sheathing that was found after pulling off the old shingle siding. The only downside (and this is minor) is that the sales rep wasted an hour of my time demonstrating how good his product was rather than getting down to pricing which is what I really wanted.
