KINGS CONSTRUCTION & FLOORING

I am posting this review to document my experience with King Flooring and Construction Corp. Very disappointing experience. The work was not completed properly, and the contractor was unprofessional throughout the process On August 13, 2026, the contractor came to my home and removed four entry doors and five closet doors. On August 14, he arrived several hours later than promised and installed only two doors, without the required molding. Both doors were improperly installed and, in my assessment, were not completed in a good and workmanlike manner. When we brought these concerns to his attention and asked that the deficiencies be corrected, he became angry and confrontational and stated that he did not want to continue the job. He subsequently apologized and said he would return on August 16 to continue the work. Because of our concerns regarding the quality of the work, I reasonably requested by text that at least one door be fully completed, including the molding, before proceeding with the remaining doors so that we could evaluate the finished workmanship. Instead, he called me and screamed and yelled that he did not want to be told what to do and stated that he did not care to finish the job. As a result, we terminated his services. We were left with multiple doors removed or improperly installed and the work incomplete. The entire experience was extremely stressful and upsetting. We expected professional workmanship and professional communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I would not recommend this contractor based on our experience.

We were very happy with Kings Construction and Flooring. We were planning to have our basement steps repaired but it turned into a bigger job. We needed an entire new staircase. They had it made and installed in the same day. It was quite an accomplishment. Great job!

Extremely happy I went with American Flooring for this project. Darrell went above and beyond, the final outcome was top notch. Price was way under the other estimates I received. I highly recommend if you are looking to refinish floors. Definitely calling him again for other rooms in my house.
