I hired Justin for snow removal and later in the year for painting my garage and exterior house trim. We each had a couple of unforeseen delays (in my case 2 repairs were needed before painting), but Justin kept in contact until he successfully finished the job. I'm getting compliments on the paint work!

I hired Justin on 7/26/2020 I wanted to get a jump on the painting part even though we had not broken ground on our new house. I sent him specs of the house on that day. He bid me 4K for the outside and 5k for the inside from start to finish and I would be buying the paint. At this time he was going through Sherwin Williams. Time goes by and I am still in contact with him letting him know the steps we were at as far as the house was going. He knew from the beginning he had 2 weeks to get my house done. One week for the walls and ceilings and 1 week for the doors and trim, while getting the outside of my house done in between. He told me it wouldnt take him that long at all. We jump to March 2021 and we are ready for him to come out. We met up with him and he was no longer with Sherwin Willams. Sure whatever we need the house painted its just paint right? He came out on March 21st to take another look at the house. He told me on March 23rd he was finishing up a house then he would be out there. He didnt end up showing up because he had big problems in Seattle he needed to take care of. He came out March 27th to start the outside of the house. Came out the 29th and couldnâ t do anything because our mud and tape wasnt dry. Instead of finishing the outside he went home. We said it was okay as we were more focused on the inside as that had a deadline. I told him on the 30th that the outside of the house looked splotchy. He came out the next several days to get the inside walls and ceilings done. We needed to be done no later then April 3rd as once again we were on a deadline. He came out the 4th and 5th to finish painting/touch ups/caulking. There is still a bunch of touch ups that need to be done along with caulking. He over sprayed our brand new windows with paint. It took us 5 hours to clean the windows eventhough Justin told me he would clean it off and it was no big deal however he never cleaned it off and it sat for weeks. He did not show up from the 6th-15th he told me he would be out at 12 I texted him and it was excuse after excuse from that day forward. He turned into a complete jackass. He knew we were on a deadline. Justin did NOT come back out after the 19th until he picked up his stuff from my house on May 9th. I told Justin Vanslyke he is NOT allowed on my property due to the way he talks to me and he has horrible anger issues. Justin then got my family member involved in this whole ordeal which Kelly said she doesnt know why they are involved. That is because Justin texted them we did not say anything until we were called by my family member which they even said he screwed our house up. We paid him 4500 up front and we were suppose to pay him 4500 once the house was completed. He ask us on the 19th for 4K and give him the $500 after doors and trim were done. We told him no but we would give him 2500 as his turbo blew up in his truck. We have NOT seen Justin since that day. He came out to my house when we were gone to grab all of his supplies. He ended up having someone else come out to do the doors and trim as he could not finish this job. Kelly and Justin kept saying they could of charged us so much more but gave us a hell of a deal I told them I would of rather paid someone more to have the job done right the first time. We have to hire someone else to come out and paint the outside and inside of the house as he messed it up. I refuse to have Justin out on my property after the way he treats us. He needs to learn that we do NOT work for him he works for us. If you want someone to get the job done correctly I suggest not hiring KJ Painting and Drywall. They have many excuses saying they have a 5 star rating and they donâ t know where this job went wrong. We said we were going to get a lawyer and she texted me saying now that you have threatened me do not contact me.Waste of time and causes more stress then building a brand new house from top to bottom.

Justin was friendly and worked quickly while at the house. We love that all the holes and cracks are repaired and the colors look great.

We neede our job done in a timely manner and they did the job on New Years Day. Thank you

Hired them to replace drywall and match texture in an existing space. They quoted 1.5 days to do the job. The time estimate was wrong and I had to hire another person to match the texture. Definitely would not recommend this business.

Justin bid our 1957 rancher with a daylight basement and cedar siding house paint job and we accepted his proposal. We let him know from the very beginning that we did not want to end up with what the next door neighbor had. You can see every edge of the old paint through the new and it looks awful. He received $2000 cash to start and that was supposed to be for our paint and a belt sander, of which the belt sander never made an appearance on our job and we only ended up with maybe 1/3 of the paint. Justin had to borrow our power washer to wash down the house because his was supposedly broken and he only used it to power wash part of the house and never completed the power washing. On several of the pieces of siding that he did powerwash he put grooves in the siding with the water. When he started scraping and sanding all he did was put more holes in the siding with the scraper and the sander. He prepared a sample for us with the scraped and sanded siding and we could still see and feel the edges of the old paint which is what we had told him from the very beginning we did not want. This man does not have the experience to work on older homes at all. He never cleaned up after himself from the first day. There was no taping or laying down of drop clothes or anything of the sort. He was asked several times by my wife to clean up and never did. My wife got tired of all the damage he was causing and did some research and determined that the house should be being stripped with paint remover not scraped and sanded. We purchased the paint remover and Justin agreed to use it instead of scraping and sanding. He then discovered he was not experienced enough to bid this right and calls me and says he underbid this job and he wants a change order for another $3000. I called him and told him we did not want his services anymore. Justin made all kinds of derogatory comments via text over the next 24 hours and told us he was keeping our paint if we did not come up with an additional $500 in labor on top of the $2000 we had already paid him. Number 1- the paint was $1722 not $2000 and number 2-the labor invoice includes power washing which he had to borrow our power washer to do and he damaged the siding while using it and demolition of a brick planter which he spent about a half an hour on and I demolished and hauled it away because he wanted to drive his truck on my lawn and I said no. He said well my shoulder is hurt so I cannot finish that part of the job. 2 days after we terminated services with Justin my wife had another company come out to bid on finishing the paint job and we found out that all of the paint that Justin never cleaned up was full of lead and until we get it cleaned up, which is going to cost thousands of dollars, no other painter will touch our house.

very nice young man. came in and did the job and was gone quickly, with the work looking very nice. I will hire him for more of our projects

Justin came out during the evening to give us an estimate, and was able to schedule us within a week. We were getting our house ready to put on the market, and he had lots of good ideas to share with us. He completed the work promptly, had good communication and we were happy with the quality of the results. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking for painting.
