KL Dunrite Roofing & Restoration

First, I am a person that very rarely gives ratings. But, my experience with K&L Dunrite was so horrendous, that I decided to leave a rating. I canâ  t give 0 stars which I believe is warranted in my case. POOR WORKMANSHIP, EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE (by the owner and her staff) when asked to correct certain problems. THEIR ROOF REPAIR TURNED INTO A COSTLY INTERNAL LEAK AFTER THEIR WORK. Also, in my opinion, their warranty is inadequate because they said they will charge me to come back out to determine if itâ  s a workmanship issue on their part. Itâ  s like the â  fox guarding the hen houseâ  . If you value your property, please do your due diligence and seek a company that has consistent positive ratings..

Compared to the others here my experience with KL must be an aberration. I knew of their work through others in out development and these folks were pleased so around a year ago I contacted them to see about work on my roof. Ms Andrea McCall, a Situation Specialist, came to review my project. I was impressed with her professionalism, thoroughness and knowledge. She gave me a fair estimate for the work to be done. We reached agreement, she asked for 50% down, I gave her a check. Then everything went South. I asked when they could schedule the work. The answer would , I will get back with you in any time with a date. Anywhere from a week or two after , and I had not been contacted I would try again. This went on for months. Finally I asked to terminate the contract, they agreed and returned my down payment. I thought things were OK until I got a letter telling me I had not paid the second half of my bill for the work that was not done and they were placing a lien on my property. I immediately called, got Mike Adams who said it was a mistake and not to worry. That is fine but what if the same mistake happens or they forget to correct it in the first place? So I have asked for a certified statement saying the charge of nonpayment is untrue, several times. So far nothing have come. Anybody have any advice for me? I think my next step will be to go to the BBB.

Great company. Professional and efficient. Had my old shingles off, fixed the rotted spots and had the new shingles installed in one day. I was very impressed that they took such care to make sure all debris and nails were picked up out of my yard. Easy to work with from estimate through job completion.

Easy to reach. Always returned calls. Were very patient with scheduling since I had to have someone else return to fix something before they could do work I hired them for. Work was exceptional! Super pleased for the price. Very professional, on time and completed project in timely matter. Would absolutely hire again. Great company!

I think something that is a challenge with Pros is being willing to communicate and quickly. Caroline is always very quick to response and move things along. She never wasted time. Hard to find to find someone as efficient as she is.
