KLM Appraisals of Colorado is a small company that is large in wealth of knowledge. Available are Licensed and Certified General Appraisers. We are courteous and respectful of everyone's time and unique situations. We have quick turnaround times and fair appraisal fees. (Turn around time is always within 7 days from the date of the actual inspection) We provide a good solid product. With two offices-one in Elizabeth & one in Arvada-we are able to serve Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, Elbert and Jefferson Counties. If you are planning to use an appraisal ordered on this site for a mortgage--be sure to check with your lender prior to ordering. Payment of the appraisal is due at time of inspection. How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I worked for Lehman Brother's Bank in their appraisal department for a little over 3 years. I was surrounded by some of the best appraising minds in Colorado/New Jersey/Texas and California. I found these people to be the most ethical and family oriented people that I had ever worked with. I respected them.. I then became an appraiser for the Elbert County Assessor's office for 9 years. Two different appraisal techniques. I left there to open my own appraisal business. .

We started in this industry in 2004.

Kimberley Meis did an awesome job, she was flexible with my time. Scheduled with me right next day after talking to her and got the report back to me sooner than anyone possibly could have. Pleased with the overall service.

KLM took 5 business days to produce the appraisal report. I needed to follow up two times and ask to put some priority over their personal plans to complete the report. I am OK with the report KLM has produced, but the time it took to complete the work and multiple follow up that it required was bothering and too slow.
Response by KLM Appraisals of Colorado: I always quote a 7 day turn around from the date of the actual physical inspection. Getting the report in 5 days was within the quoted time frame. I talked with Prakash at least 3 times during the appraisal process -- he was selling his investment home to the renters and was asking me about the appliances. I tried on at least two of the phone calls to let him know that the appliances were personal property and were not part of the real estate being appraised. I don't know if this was really understood. As far as personal plans??? - I quote a 7 day turn around because I usually have more work in progress. At no time was the subject of "personal plans" ever discussed-nor would it ever be. What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

    HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license.

    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
  8. Liens Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
