BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!
I wish I could give KMS Painting 0 stars. I used KMS Painting of Middelburgh NY run by Katie Sherman several years ago to refinish my log home and I was very happy with the results. So when it came time to get my log home refinished again in March 2025, I didn?t hesitate to reach out to them. They asked for $3,000 in order to hold the date and to order materials, which I paid. She had promised to start work first thing in Spring 2025, and when I checked in on May 30th, she promised to start work the following week, but no work was ever started. She blamed the rain and said I was next on the list of jobs to complete. Same excuses for June, July, Aug, Sept. Broken promises, excuses for start dates time and time again. Not only has no work been done, but I still don?t have my deposit back. I finally got $500 back with promises to send the rest by end of week but that week has come and gone. I?m still out $2,500.

At first glance it looks great but as you get closer there are giant brush streaks on the edges that don't match where the roller was used in the center. You can see it clear as day and it doesnt make the room look nice when there are a lot of edges.

"[Consumer name withheld at their request]...should have contacted me if there was an issue. The problem also with painting your house is the Sheetrock and sparkle work that was done was wrong, and whoever primed before this didn't do it correct as there is many globs of primer on walls."

Once I requested information from some local painters Katie contacted me within 30 minutes. I had her come the next day and her estimate was less than another contractor so I hired her on the spot. She returned 3 days later and painted my master suite in approximately 6 ½ hours. Ceiling and walls with 2 coats of paint . . . my wife and I are totally happy with the outcome and now this is one more project completed so we can start planning on moving in. I would highly recommend KMS Painting for ANY interior or exterior painting job!
