Terrible Contractor, non communicative, no due diligence. Kager Brewer, took my money and never completed job, will not return deposit of approx $ 14,500 ($22k - $7500(bathroom) ),when he had already agreed through text to come up w a fair refund. Offered to pay him for services rendered (bathroom $7500) even through he had not completed and poor construction. Hired Sept 2019 for bathroom addition (started 09/2019)and room addition, (not started). To date he has not completed bathroom and will not return communications. The contract did not have completion date but he verbally told me 3 to 4 weeks on completion for bathroom. The contract does say due diligence and 6 wk completion considering outside disruptions. Poor construction, had to hire a new contractor to complete and repair bathroom)no vent for toilet (would not flush properly)no water in shower, pipe was never crimped so broke when water used. Flooring kept popping up, contract called for CMV block but they used wood instead, had to finish all caulking,, and painting the outside. He never included hot water heater in contract...who is going to take a cold shower???Left site in utter chaos water runoff under main house when they broke gutter and left w out repairing it, rock driveway now complete mud pit of clay. The list goes on. Always has excuses for why, when, where, how..... he could not complete. Stated he was over budget on bathroom by approx $5k. But when I asked for receipts to date none have been provided. He then sent all info to his lawyer forcing me to hire a lawyer to respond. To this date, no resolution, Kager Brewer Construction and his attorney, continue to decline, deny, delay, and are non responsive with documents requested. KBC could not complete bedroom addition due to flood zone that we were not aware of. Our survey that we received. at closing showed house above 100yr flood zone we were not aware it had been changed by FEMA. To the best of our knowledge we found our survey to be accurate and true. No work was every started on bedroom addition so we requested refund of project deposit. To date we have not resolved and have not gotten any refund

I was very pleased and impressed with Kager and his business. I look forward to doing work with them in the future.
