"This customer kitchen was completed in May 2022. I started with them in September 2021. I came in at that time and designed a kitchen plan for them using a very nice quality cabinet. After months of back and forth, they decided to go with a wholesale company. They cut everything thinking they would save money by taking on the responsibilities themselves. They signed off on the cabinets and purchased them with a company that states they are not responsible for any measurements everything is on the customer. They took on the countertop electrical, and plumbing on their own. My responsibilities were new flooring, installation of cabinets, and painting. It was stat."
"This job was done in 2018. Homeowners added to the project, which change the scope of the project and the permit for the job. This is what causes delays. We were hired to update a kitchen. That turned into a bathroom, roof, update plumbing and electrical. That increased the cost. Remember this is your project you need to pay for it not the GC or the subs. WHY CAN REVIEWS BE SUBMITTED MORE THAN ONE TIME. This Project was done in 2018. THE HOMEOWNER JUST WANTED TO GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. LOVE HOW PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE TRADES THINK IT'S EASY TO DO. We did more than just a kitchen on this project. The electrician updated the service to 200AMP, removed all old lines including nob and tube. New roof was added to the addition because it was leaking. Floor leveled, new entry door, new HVAC, plus all new cabinets, counters, plumbing and flooring. With every step we took we were had obstacles to deal with because how the home was built. With every add we had to update the permit."
"This is not the truth, homeowner did not want to start the project before the holiday's (Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was in contact with her in November, December, and January during which time I had serious health issues with my wife. Started the permit process the week of the 1/13/20 which by law can take 30 days to be approved. Got and email on 1/12/20 that the kitchen was packed up and read for demo. By law, we cannot start a project without a permit. Customer contacted the town who then called me informing me that they had 30 days to approve the permit. The customer was asking me to work without a permit which is against the law. Now I have to withdraw the request from the town. The cost of the project was more than she intended and I believe she got cold feet. All this transpired last week once the permit was submitted. We live in a time now where we only respond to the negative. My reviews have taken a hit because I we did what the customer asked. If she couldn't wait for the permit imagine when someone does demo her kitchen. The money provided purchased the cabinets which will be delivered to her."
"This job was completed on an older home that was being rented out. The landlord did not want to spend money, so we kept the cost down for him. I did this through cutting my labor in half. We did an outstanding job, the work was 30' in the air fixing a sofet and facier board over 45' long. We also rebuilt his garage roof and shingled it for cost."
"This was a barn one of the oldest in Acton. We needed to jack it up over 8" to level the floor for the barn door to shut. We also rebuilt part of the farmers porch. The barn doors track was removed and straightened and put back so the door would operate correctly."
"We built custom closets in 4 bedrooms. The home was built in the early 1900's and was in need of several repairs. We also remodeled the bathroom on this project. We built 4 custom closets which took a few days to complete for cost of materials. Sone people want to live large but pay little."
"What this customer did not tell you is that by the time the cabinets came in they had sold the home. The new owners of the house had an agreement with my original customer that the cabinets would be installed when they came in. Problem was they never told me about it. From a liabiliy stand point I could not work on the house with out a signed contract form the new owner. New homeowner refused."
"This bathroom was a challenge all the way. It was as high end as they come. Heated granite floors with glow in the dark grout. Heated toilet seat that would shut when the lights went off."
