"I offered to fix the step for free and you denied my service and demanded I pay you 300$ compensation. I did not feel comfortable doing it, as I had offered to fix the issue for free. also, it is the homeowners responsibility to check with their insurance company and the code of city for said project. You hired me and I just did what I was told you wanted to be done since that s what you paid me for."
