Keystone Design

We felt completely at ease with Mark's visit to our home and after talking to him about the addition we wanted he was able to give us a spot on plan that flows just right with the rest of our house. He communicated with us well and was prompt and efficient in getting our design done. We felt like the price was fair and having our plan in hand will no doubt save us money when we start working with contractors. Would use him again in a heartbeat and of course will recommend him to others.

Mark was okay to work with, he did not seem to have much insight or original ideas. He provided the drawings on time, but did not take into account any building codes when planning the house. this cost me a lot more money in the long run because I based my budget on his drawings. He also left out a very important detail regarding the foundation which cost me more money, I was lucky that the foundation contractor caught his mistake early in the project.

While we had a good idea of what we wanted, the process was made easier by all the suggestions that Mark provided. Meeting with him was made easy, by his in-home visits. He even hand delivered the final plans. The one thing that I think could be improved in the number of plan copies that are included. Most major building projects will require at least 4 copies (builder, electrician, plumber and owner). Only 2 copies were included. But on the plus side, we were provided with PDF files so that we could print as many as needed. As a whole the process went smoothly, and we were very satisfied with the level of service, architetural knowledge and professionalism. Mark...YOU ARE THE BEST!

Mark did an outstanding job

So far, my experience has been positive. I was met with in a timely manner and some initial designs were created quickly.

Architect made mistakes and got an attitude on top of that. Needs to be a little more proficient and needs to learn that customers are due a certain amount of respect. I'm talking every time we turned around, he was costing the project money and some of the plans were not drawn to NEC code requirements. Not a candidate for repeat business after this episode.

I would have liked more notice than I was given in order to pay the balance of the amount we owed Mark. There was a delay in being able to discuss with him some changes to the plan, which meant there was a delay in his making the changes and at the same time he requested the remaining 2 payments at once. Other than that the service would be very good overall.

The final product from Mark was pretty good. After the plan was finished there were a couple of things that should have been caught by him were missed; such as the island in the kitchen was not centered on the bay window after he expanded the kitchen width. The communication could have been better which would have shorten the time to complete project.

Mark was professional yet not to the point that he lost his human qualities. You could tell he understood that a home should fit the needs of a family, but still have appeal, definition and an element of uniqueness.

They were very easy to deal with and made suggestions without being pushy. They kept my desires foremost.

Mark is very professional and detailed--a pleasure to work with. His drawings are exactly what we envisioned (although we modified our plans some). He just goes with the flow, makes lots of good suggestions and seems to understand what you want and makes it a reality. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I hired Mark to design my basement. I really enjoy working with mark. He is thourough and has a very quick turnaround with the design plans. Much of the iterations were able to be done on the phone. His initial visit included detailed measurements and lots of pictures. Everyone else who came to the house to bid just walked around took some pictures and said they'd give a quote. Mark's quote included initial design ideas. Choosing Mark was no contest.

He is very satisfied and will start the assingment shortly.
