My neighbors and I hired Mike to scrape and pave our shared driveway and install new culverts. We paid him 1/3 to start and then a third when he was ready to start the paving. He installed two culverts (which are now failing in 2025 and need to be replaced) and scraped the long driveway. Then he disappeared. We got a million excuses for the delays (literally hospital stays and a car wreck which we think were all lies) and then he disappeared. So he basically stole about $5k from us and never finished the job. A new contractor came in to finish his shoddy work. BUYER BEWARE. Really bad guy. If you are going to use do not pay him a dime up front.

I hired Mike Lewis (Keystone Paving) in March 2022 to repave my driveway. I also hired him to install a new culvert in my driveway. He installed the culvert, removed half of the asphalt on my driveway and then walked away. He kept my $5k deposit. He gave me excuses for a year and then said he would refund $2500 but, of course, never did. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. You will be sorry. There are a ton of bad reviews online for him now that I wish had been there when I searched.

Mike and his crew were on time and did a great job! They kept me in the loop with the project. The price was very reasonable. I love how nice my driveway now looks. I even convinced my neighbor to do hers! We now have added value to our property.

I put in a request for a quote Saturday morning. Later that afternoon Mike Contacted me and said he would come out sunday morning and get me a quote! He showed up on time and gave me a quote that was well under a previous quote I have received. We went over what we wanted done and Mike suggested a few things. We set up to get started Tuesday and was done by Wednesday before noon. Great work and communication

Due to weather and work restrictions it took longer than anticipated for the job to be completed, however, the brick walkway exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased we hired Mike and his crew.

Keystone got back to me quickly with an estimate and we were able to schedule the install for my driveway right away. They completed a large driveway paving in just a few hours and it looks great. They were flexible with meeting me for contract signature and payment and it was all safe with the current Covid situation. I d recommend them for driveway paving.

He was prompt with answering all my questions and concerns throughout the hiring process. On the day of the job they showed up on time and the entire crew was professional and hard working. Good price, on time, good work and experienced paving contractor!

Our property has a considerable size asphalt driveway and turnaround (over 6,000 SF total) which was approaching 30 years of age. At the time the builder did a minimal install of 1-2 inches asphalt top with a questionable base. In spite of maintaining and sealing as possible, the drive had substantially deteriorated and a large challenge to restore. Pictures are included with sample areas shown. We searched extensively for a technically competent and trustworthy paving contractor to rebuild and improved the driveway/turnaround, and selected Keystone Paving to do the work. Mike (Keystone’s owner/operator) reviewed the situation and recommended a complete tear-up, base (emphasizing), a separate binder course and finish course. Other contractors offered a wide range of ‘interesting’ and similar solutions, but given our experience with Mike, his remarkable references and very competitive pricing we felt Keystone was the way to go. In summary we would not regret our decision. Due to time of year and weather (cold, rainy in late 2018) Mike was still able to remove the old asphalt, correct all of the bad areas, base with 2A (and 3A) modified stone, then install a substantial asphalt binder layer; the goal of achieving quality similar to a public roadway. In 2019 Keystone completed the work, updating binder as needed, then paving with a significant asphalt finish course; in total with absolutely excellent results, both in regards to durability and aesthetically; pictures included here. Mike also corrected the grade to assure proper drainage and drivability, as well as expanding key areas for better utility. They seamlessly and cleanly blended all of the work into the new flagstone walkways, both garages (separate buildings), drains, retaining wall, etc. They treat your property as if their own. Mike was always on site when any work needed to be done or assessed. He is respectful, always acts in the customers best interest and clearly takes pride in the Keystone team’s work; closely manages the entire situation, with proven impressive results. Plus, he has decades of technical experience and knowledge which was invaluable to tap for our particular project; critical given the current conditions and size of the effort. We would be remiss if we didn’t also mention the quality, care and thoroughness of everyone involved from Keystone, each member working diligently together, under Mike’s direction for efficiency and first-class outcome. We are ecstatic about the new driveway & turnaround, have to-date received countless compliments on it and the improvement to curb appeal. In our view, you simply cannot go wrong with Keystone & Mike; we definitely made the best decision, and will absolutely be utilizing Keystone in the future for any follow up efforts (sealing, etc.). Mike was key to the success of the project.

I contracted KPS to extend our existing asphalt driveway. Since our driveway was already paved I knew the extensions was not going to be a perfect match and there would be a seam between the new and old paving (which I was fine with as this was more for function than aesthetics). The positives, KPS had great reviews on HA, out of all the quotes I received KPS was the only company to show up in person to survey and quote, reasonable price and showed up on the day/time promised. Here is where things went sideways. The owner, Mike, promised verbally and in writing (email) to return the following week after completing the work to seal/tar the seam between the new and existing paving. A week passed and they never returned. When I reached out to see when they were coming back, Mike said they would be back in a couple of days. I'm still waiting for them to return! Mike made a point of telling me, during the paving job, that they would level the seam between the new and existing asphalt so no water would collect when it rains. Every time it rains I have water pooling up at the top of the driveway, at the exact place where Mike promised it would not pool up. My last issue, which is more of a pet peeve, is that Mike sat parked in his pickup truck in front of my house and discarded his cigarette buts in the street in front of my house and on my front lawn. As a business owner myself, that is just something I would not do. Like I said, KPS has excellent reviews on HA and I felt confident they would do a great job. I paid them in full upon completion of the work and they did not waste any time cashing my check. I am disappointed with the overall job and the non-existent customer service. Buyer beware!

Very easy to deal with , did a great job

The keystone staff are excellent workers. They just finished repaving our 280 yard long driveway. Mike is very professional, efficient and very knowledgeable about his profession. The keystone staff definitely exceeded every expectation my husband and I had.

Mike and his crew, exceeded my expectations! I had an drainage problem with our old driveway, Mike noticed and addressed issues, that our township Engineer never mentioned, his attention to detail was impeccable, we now have no problems with water runoff and have had numerous compliments from our neighbors, Mike was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and had great communication throughout the entire project, he also was extremely reasonable and beat all of my other estimates, I couldn't be more pleased.

Mike has been great - I have a long winding driveway, Mike and his team removed all of the existing driveway, applied a new foundation, applied all new asphalt and just returned and sealed the driveway. Everything looks great and at a very fair price.

They are thief and take your money and don't finish the job.
