My roommates were moving out of our place, and our lease requires professional carpet cleaning. I requested quotes from a couple companies and ended up with KimChi s Cleaning. She gave me a price and we scheduled to have her come June 14th, at 2pm. On June 14, I texted her at 2:09 to check in about our appointment that day. Only then did she reach out and let me know she was going to be late 30-45 minutes. I understand things happen, but she should have let me know as soon as she knew, not after me reaching out. My roommate was there to meet here at 2, but had to leave for work. Because the cleaner was late and did not let us know, no one was there to meet her. I got off work at 4:30 and came straight away. The cleaner was no longer there, but the carpets were wet. I noticed there were spots and one in particular on the stairs. I went over to it and was genuinely able to scratch at one mark with my finger and remove it, which tells me the cleaner only got the carpet wet, and did not attempt to clean/scrub and marks, which is what I booked for. That definitely made me second guess my decision. I paid the cleaner the evening of the service, and the cleaner told me to pay on Venmo. I also should have stopped there and thought a little bit. My landlord stopped by the next day and noticed that same marks as me, let me know that the cleaning was not up to her/the leases standards, and requested that I reach back out to the cleaner and ask if she could come back to do a quick spot check in a couple areas. I did so, and the cleaner said she could come back, for a charge of $25. I said that worked perfect, and we scheduled a date/time. We scheduled for June 19th at 2:30pm. I had to work again, so my mom went to meet the cleaner, along with my landlord. The cleaner did not show up, and did not say a word. She got back to me at 7:30 that night saying this I apologize! My other clients in Bozeman rescheduled to tomorrow and I forgot to send you a message. I will be in the area tomorrow and can come by then if that works! This confused me because scheduling another client the next day has nothing to do with the service i agreed with her for that day. This is where I started to become frustrated with the situation. I tried to work with her again, because we wanted to make sure this was up to our landlord s standards so we could get our security deposit back, and so we would not have to pay for another company to finish the original job. I scheduled with her again for June 23rd at 3pm. I let the cleaner know my landlord was going to meet her there to let her in. The cleaner again did not show up, without any communication. For that to happen twice, is simply unacceptable. It was inconsiderate of multiple people s time. This is where communication stopped. I let the cleaner know that I was disappointed with our experience and this was unprofessional. We now have to pay for another company to finish the incomplete service this cleaner provided. This situation has been immensely frustrating. I have never experienced a professional no call/no showing twice! The cleaner has not responded since confirming the appointment for June 23, and I am not expecting a response any time soon. I have text messages confirming this whole story. Since the cleaner is not working with me, I reached out to Angi. I am not sure what else to do, and I just wasted almost $400. I have tried to contact her to try and come to a solution, but I don t see that happening. I want some, if not all, the money back, since we have to pay for someone else. I am sorry for the rambling message, but I am very frustrated with this situation. Especially with her having me pay with Venmo, this has been increasingly hard for me to find a solution and get my money back.
