Kind Sir Construction, LLC

We hired Kind Sir to finish our basement. While the work done was overall pretty good and we are enjoying the basement, the experience was incredibly difficult. We found communication to be lacking and the project took significantly longer than projected. We were told they would start in early July and they started at the end of August. We were told that the project would take about 6 weeks but they did not finish until the end of December (so about 4 months). There were a few tasks remaining that we ended up just doing ourselves (touching up paint, assembling a murphy bed, etc) because we just wanted to be done with it. Construction only took place about 1-2 days per week and our projected end date was gradually pushed out a week or two at a time for 2.5 months. There were no major reasons for the delay and the basement could certainly have been finished in less than two months if someone had come out more than once or twice a week.

I initially contacted Kind Sir through Angi and got an immediate response. From that point forward, I felt like I was truly part of the â team.â The team consisted of Thomas Hale who came out for an initial overview and gain an understanding of what we were looking to accomplish. In addition, he helped us clarify our vision as well, which was a great relief. Our next contact was with James McNeese who oversaw the project overall. We spent more time with him selecting the pieces of equipment and fixtures that we had not already purchased long before contacting them. The professionalism and kindness (!) was present from the get go. We contracted with them to gut and rebuild our two 1966 bathrooms. However, we were not leaving our house, so they had to do one at a time so that we had a functioning bathroom at all times. This requirement didnâ t faze them. Any time there was a question on their part about existing structural damages, they immediately stopped work and asked us to what extent and how we wanted to deal with the correction. Always communicating, consistently keeping us informed of progress and what was coming next. Alex and Cody were the remodelers who came in after Ben the demolition expert (a great â and accurate â title) and began the rebuilding process. Ben, Alex, and Cody were always professional, friendly, respectful, informative, and VERY hard working. As a mother of two grown sons, I was impressed by their manners!! Our contract was for $24,000; we ran into some additional costs along the way. When something was uncovered that needed to be corrected, work stopped and they asked us to approve their suggested solutions. We were asked to approve two change orders along the way having to do with the more extensive damage that needed to be corrected. Our contract came in at the end as $26,440. We cannot say enough nice things about this process. For a couple living in the midst of this type of construction with a 17 year blind cat to keep track of, we truly appreciate the KINDNESS and attitude toward assisting us with keeping track of said cat. We have all survived and must admit to sort of enjoying the process. Is that possible? Apparently! When all was completed, we were supremely happy with the result. Clean, fresh, much more open and useable. Thanks Kind Sir Construction folks! Oh, yeahâ ¦.we give these folks a 10!

Kind Sir was great, i had a situation where my floor was sagging and I didnâ t know why, it took a demo to find an undetectable leak. It was a 6 week project and we were trying to get it done before christmas because all I wanted to do was be able to cook for my kids on xmas, which happened, but almost didnâ t but that was the big box storeâ s fault. Kind Sir and I had many talks about design and helped me stay within the realm of my limited budget, the guys do great work. I had not redesigned an entire kitchen before so it was a bit scary, but we were able to come to agreements and they are upfront about any add-ons, no hidden fees. They totally transformed my small kitchen and created a stable subfloor. They even built me half a wall as I requested due to the fact that there were a few surprises, like no walls in my 60â s kitchen with built in cabinets so there were a few surprises along the way, but we worked it out. KindSir Construction does. Quality work and service and they cleaned up after each portion.

Very honest and ethical. They stick by the quote given and don't take advantage of you. I'm going to hire them again next year to remodel my second bathroom. They do excellent work.
