Kingdom Construction & Remodel

Summary: We sincerely regret hiring Kingdom over Sharer or Cowdin to renovate a portion of our kitchen, half bathroom, and bar due to unfulfillment of timeline, communication, and attention to detail. As a certified project manager professional (PMP), I can tell you that the project was severely mismanaged and that Kingdom is spread way too thin, don't care about the quality of their work, or a combination of the two. We expressed serious concerns multiple times to Joe, Chad, and Brian about the project length, lack of communication/transparency, and frequency of rework with zero change in behavior and often not even a response. Towards the end I literally offered to pay them extra money and begged them to get the work done so our lives could finally return to normal. Overall, we are most happy that this project has ended and will not be recommending Kingdom to anyone.

They were a pleasure to work with. I had a phone call from them less than 10 minutes after asking for information about remodeling projects. Brian was out and did not waste a second of my time. And when we met with him he had detailed plans drawn up to show us. No high-pressure sales. They wanted to do things the way we wanted them done. They made a number of suggestions before we started that really helped make the final result so much better than we had thought possible. We knew when to expect them and they showed up on time or early. They found problems and corrected them without nickel and diming us for every little change. The quality of work was great and we have had many compliments on the result. I wish I could give them 6 stars. We already have ideas about other projects that we will hire them for.

Fantastic company - delivered on time and stayed true to the timeline! These guys work till it’s done and done right! Customer service is excellent and there’s no need to bargain around... they come in cheaper than other companies and you get what they promise! I highly recommend this company!

Went with Kingdom because they were the most professional and responsive initially. The install ended up being delayed by over a month due to lack of available workers last summer, which we understood but wished there was a bit more communication to keep us informed. The quality of the work was good. They did a good job cleaning up after but left some nails in the backyard, which I assume is impossible to avoid entirely. We would use them again.

On time, excellent and professional crew. Workmanship was outstanding and overall experience was great. Crew even took the time to really clean up afterwards and left our garage much cleaner than they found it - which is a first for us based on other contracted work we have had done. Overall would highly recommend the Kingdom team.

Quality of workmanship is FANTASTIC! Very nice folks to deal with. Installed a Cedar screened-in porch on an existing deck. It looks great. When friends come over and see it for the first, and even second time they are in awe over the quality of work and how Kingdom made it blend into the house. Nice goin' Chad.

Tim, Brian and Joe have been to our home several times in the last few months. We used Kingdom Construction for our Kitchen Remodel and to repair our basement after a flood. They have done FANTASTIC work and we will use them for our upcoming Bathroom remodel. The crew is friendly, they clean up after themselves, they start early and work hard all day! They have earned our trust and the least we can do is recommend them! Kingdom is our choice for home improvement projects!

They were not the cheapest bid we received but they were highly rated on HomeAdvisor and seemed the most honest and trustworthy. The project was started when they said they would and stayed on it until it was completed. We had a couple of minor issues after the completion of the project they have always promptly taken care of each issue. My wife and I would definitely use them again. All of the people that work for them are polite and very professional and helpful. Their goal is to do what they said they would and be sure we were happy!! This is an excellent company.

Excellent communication from Crystal in the scheduling team. Brian has also been excellent in explaining the services and pieces. Finally the crew that did the work were polite, professional and efficient. Would highly recommend kingdom and will use for my next renovation project

This was an excellent company to deal with. We were kept apprised on what time and day they would be working on our project. They were punctual and they did excellent work. The team was extremely professional. They ensured the house was cleaned up before they left for the day. They did a great job!

A very professional and courteous company. The owner came out on a Saturday to help me though picking out the pieces. They started the next Monday , got the materials ordered and had the old tub, surround, tile and shower doors our out in the am and had the new ones in in the afternoon. Finished the trim the next morning.

This company was absolutely phenomenal, they were very professional and courteous. They demolished and rebuilt an entire bathroom in less then a week. They would come in the morning on time and finish as much as they can throughout the day in order to meet their goal date. If there is anyone I would hire again it would be kingdom! they deliver quality work in a timely fashion and we cannot thank them enough.

I wanted to express how Kings Construction did a wonderful , beautiful job on my siding. They were respectful, and professional. Their price for the project was fair and I would recommend their services to anyone else.

I contracted with Kingdom Construction to completely demolish and remodel two bathrooms. I live in a large Toll Brothers sub-division home and was looking for a company that could deliver quality work at a competitive price. It was a 3-week job. Kingdom Construction completed the job in two weeks, one week ahead of schedule, and came in at 30% below the cost of the other two bids that I had obtained for the job from Home Advisors. It was absolutely the best experience a homeowner could have with a construction company and believe me I have tried a few before this one. The company is owned and very well managed by Chad Zabik who is on top of his duties, responsibilities and not shy about rolling up his sleeves and working along side his team. The company has a fantastic team from its offices to the site crew that is performing the work. Very friendly, very timely, very trustworthy, very clean, very respectful and courteous, very professional and excellent at their work. I would, and will, hire this company again in a heart beat if I need more work done in my home. One last comment that I think the readers will find helpful. I called Kingdom Construction three times after they had completed the work in order to come back to fix some small details. The crew was at my house within 24 hours, cleaned up after themselves and even thanked me for calling them. What more can a homeowner ask for from a construction company. If you need a job done, Kingdom is the place to go and I recommend this company without any reservations whatsoever.

In the end, we are very, very happy with our basement. It is amazing the transformation Kingdom was able to accomplish. We struggled with a grade because while everything Kingdom did was great, we contracted with them and therefore consider them responsible for the subs they chose. Most were great, one was okay, one was a disaster. We were bothered by a couple things: -The quote, while seemingly inclusive, left off things that were needed for code per our city. These ended up being additional costs that were unplanned that could have been easily discovered ahead of time. -This goes along with the first item, but when we contracted with a professional, we assumed (erroneously) that the contractor would know what would be code for renovating a basement in our city. We questioned what R value the insulation would be and were told there wouldn't be any because it wasn't quoted. A five minute phone call to the building department told us we needed at least R11. We technically failed rough plumbing inspection because by code, new renovations must install a backflow valve. Those two items added almost $3000 to our bill. Again, frustrating as the homeowner who hired a professional to handle the nuisance of permits and code. In the end, it was a massive project. We spent a lot of time with these people in our home and spent a lot of money to complete it. Everyone at Kingdom was wonderful and we felt comfortable with them in our home and around our young kids. We're very happy we chose to go with them.
