Before I started your job on 8/5/2020 we talked about the installation and together we made some changes that would improved the overall appearance of the installation. We both agreed on the changes, but I said it would cost a bit more, I agreed to come down on my price only because you felt more comfortable going with me than other contractors who bid your job. I said I would keep it the same...you then stated to me that you would pay my original quote which I was very appreciative. It wasn't until we agreed on the price that I started your job. Once I start a job I've never change my prices without the consent of the homeowner. I am sorry if there was any misunderstanding on your end. In today's marker EV installations can run upwards to $600, close to the exact installation I did for you. I also offered to repair your drywall at no additional cost, but you declined. "Hi Diane, Although I am semi-retired I don't feel like I am. I explained that I was very busy for being semi-retired at the time we were sitting down at your kitchen table. We talked about scheduling time for me to come back out to address your electrical issues as soon as I had available time. I did come out with my electrician a few days later and we inspected some the outlets and switches and verified that you didn't need to have your house rewired, not like other contractors that wanted to rewire your house and charge you thousands of dollars.~in turn saving you tons of money which you said you really didn't have. Not sure how you can rate my value when I haven't sent you a final bill. I gave you an estimate, but that change drastically do to the initial inspection we performed. We didn't have to repair any outlets or wall switched saving you hundreds of dollars. My first estimate was around $2,500~ now it's $200.00. I couldn't see taking advantage of you or any customers for that matter.. I would have taken care of the sub panel in your moms bedroom that day, but I didn't want to disturb your 96 year old mother, so I offered to come back at a different time, or we would have been finished that day. Your home wasn't in any danger of any electrical fires, therefore no urgency was necessary and I believe I told your brother that day I was out. I did enjoy our visit while you were in town caring for your mom, and I sorry I may have let you down. My sincere apologies. As a parting gift, you will not be billed for my time out at your home."
