Derick did a great job!! Derick was "on call" after the work was finished to insure my roof was sealed and not leaking. He was very conscientious and expressed a great desire to do an outstanding job. Derick is such a great guy and hard worker that I will definitely have him back to more work. The big thing for me: NO MORE LEAKING!!!

Vinyl Siding - Repair or Partially Replace
We were extremely lucky. Derick was passing our area whenever he returned my call and was able to repair a few holes in our "dated" siding. He was professional and offered a few different options as to how to tackle the problem. We weren't expecting same-day-service but it turned out that way! Would certainly hire again.

I hired Derrick and he was reworking my fireplace chimney because it was leaking, I gave him a down payment of $1100 and has only been here 3 times and when he is here he is here for only 3-4 hrs, says he will be here at 8 AM and is always really late and this happens all the time and I haven't seen him for a week now and last Tuesday was the last time I talked to him, the chimney was suppose to take 2 days and was I was told the work would be done on 01/12/17, Derrick said that he put on a new cap and it is still leaking and in my opinion only about 5% of the job is done

"This review is completely not true I actually did a job for this customer and found he was having a leak coming through his basement and not his chimney. After further inspection and telling the homeowner what the problem was he was not willing to fix the problem so therefore I was not able to help him in any way because he was not able to come up with money to fix the problem so basically I did chimney work for him and fixed his Jimmy but he has water coming through his basement so therefore I I tried to reach out several times this customer did not get back with me. I was basically put in the dark because of his situation and therefore the job was put on hold. This review should not even be on my page it's ridiculous"

Derick did a great job, and just really struck me as a good person. He is a hard worker, and also seemed extremely knowledgeable. He rebuilt the top of my chimney, replaced the flues and matched the mortar color to the rest of the brick.

Brick or Stone Siding: Repair or Partially Replace
I hired Derick to repair a brick wall and he did an excellent job! He was very professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. This took more than one day. I would highly recommend this young man to anyone needing brick work! Update. 04-13-2018 Derrick started out great. However, I'm still waiting for him to come back and finish the job. He promised he would be back to fix a couple of leaks around the windows he installed. He also drove on newly landscaped yard and promised he would be back to full the ruts he left and plant seed. He has not to date done either. He also left some of his tools here. I don't know what happened but I'm very disappointed in this young man.

I hired Knox Remodeling to replace my mother's stone retaining wall along her driveway. Knox contacted me almost immediately when I reached out through Home Advisor. This was a big plus for me. What I really appreciate about Derick is his willingness to listen to our needs, and his flexibility in evaluating options for us. He was sensitive to price to fit our budget and never made us feel our job was "too small" for him to consider. Derick is extremely conscientious and always kept us updated on his arrival times each day. He finished the job on time and was more than helpful in ensuring the aesthetics of the project met my mom's standards. She is absolutely thrilled with the final product - and so am I. We will absolutely consider Knox Remodeling our first point of contact for other such projects.

Skylight - Install
We were extremely pleased with Derrick's knowledge and work ethic and very glad we gave him the contract. He installed 2 skylights for us on very steep slate roofs. Derrick and his crew came on time, and called if there was any delay. He even went the extra mile by repairing some loose slates and stayed until he was satisfied that he had done the work to his satisfaction and ours. We already have another project scheduled with Knox Remodeling.

Seamless Metal Gutters - Install
Derick came soon after we contacted him, looked at my roof and gutters, and said that he didn't think we needed any new stuff, just repairs to roof and guttering system. He was back in a few days and did the pertinent work. I didn't have to buy new gutters, just had the drip guard replaced and the edge sealed under the first shingles. There is a bay window involved which, as I hear from others, is often a place where special notice has to be taken. Derick and his team did a lot of fixing and sealing. They also cleaned out a small section next to electrical wires that we were afraid to do, and he put in a leaf guard so that in the future we wouldn't get a build-up in the gutter. All the work was done quickly and while Derick explained to me what he was doing, and while he was training his crew, a guy who was new on the job and doing a great job as well, as far as I could see. We also talked about a small project that I might get into next year. I'd hire Knox Remodeling again in a heartbeat.

I found Knox on Home Advisor with an urgent need for a contractor to fix my leaking roof. Derrick came the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem. This guy know his stuff and is a honest and hardworking contractor. He rearranged his schedule and came the next day to fix my roof. He and his crew were very professional and did a great job. He went out of his way to explain the repairs and also did a full inspection of my roof, cleaned my gutters and raised my one gutter to drain better - which was not part of the repair. Great hardworking Pittsburgh guy. I would highly recommend him. He is now on the top of my list of contractors to call. Thanks Derrick.

Derrick was extremely professional and helpful. We had an issue due to a different contractor messing up the flashing around our chimney. Derrick repaired the problem promptly and for a great price.
