I was on a tight schedule, and they made the effort to fit me in. I needed branches from my neighbors tree cut down before I had my new artificial turf & putting green installed, and they obliged.

I had a very large Pondersa Pine come down during a windstorm at the beginning of '21. The 100'+ tree was leaning over and ready to fall. I called 4 tree service companies. Koala (Craig) called me back in minutes and happened to be nearby assessing another property. The other 3 companies called back 2-3 days later. The tree in question actually fell into two of our neighbor's front yards while I was standing in my driveway assessing our limited options with Craig. Luckily, no one was hurt and no serious property damage occurred. The 2nd tree in my front yard was now leaning precariously over my home. While dealing with the first downed tree, Craig and his team took immediate action on the 2nd tree (thus avoiding imminent danger). I can't say enough great things about Craig and his fearless team!

David was our rep, and he is very personable and helpful, and gave us a very reasonable quote. The four-man crew that came was outstanding! Very hard-working, fast, incredibly thorough. No wasted time! The contract says they will leave your yard cleaner than when they arrived, and it's true! The work they did was super professional and they really knew what they were doing. Their equipment was top notch. Had a tall palm tree completely removed and another large one trimmed, along with tree removal and trimming. We would highly recommend. In 35 year of hiring various contractors for our home, this was one of the best crews we've ever had. David checked in frequently to make sure the job was going as planned. They were on time, very polite and helpful to my 94 year old mom, and left the yard free of tree debris. My mom had been anxious that any tree care company would cut more than she wanted cut, but they eased her worries and she was thrilled with how much nicer her trees looked when they were finished.

Craig and his crew did wonderful work at my place. They were very well equipped with tools and came on time. The team was very polite and patient with all our queries. Each member of his team carried his work well and they were very organized. Lastly they finished the work ahead of schedule. I'll definitely use their services in future and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Responded quickly, showed up on time. Did great job trimming 8 crepe myrtle trees and two other trees in my backyard. Koala pruned a Japanese maple that was planted 10 years ago in too small a space. I assumed the tree would have to be removed. Koala pruned it and now it looks much healthier and fits much better in the space. I would definitely recommend Koala Tree Care.

Thanks to the excellent, efficient, and expedient work of the arborist, pruners, and staff at Koala Tree Care, our Bacon avocado tree got its large broken branch removed and a proper pruning to do necessary end weight reduction to limit the chance of more limbs breaking . (The last time, a different company topped off our tree, something we found you should not do, which caused an assortment of structural problems). Steve, the pruner, and his assistant took good care of us, and during their work, we discovered that three other big branches were in danger of eventually breaking, so they trimmed the tree back, provided the appropriate cover to prevent tree scorching, and balanced the weight of the tree, so it can grow healthily in a proper, compact size. What we may have lost in this year’s crop, we have gained in safety. And while they were at our place, they noticed that a number of our citrus trees were not doing well (basically because by sweeping away leaves all the time, we had left no composting or nutrients to go into the ground). As they often do apparently, they brought a wood chipper along and offered us the wood chips from our avocado tree to lay down for composting. So all in all, a very positive experience and a great price.

Folks, If you're looking to have your tree removed, trimmed and receive that "extra" service, Koala Tree care is your choice. Craig and David (there was another team member and his name escapes me but I do want to mention him) are pros. I also learned things about San Jose tree codes/permits and the do and don't about tree care. Thanks, Gents.

Best tree service company I have experienced in 25 years! Dave, the estimator, did a thorough review of my needs. He used a laser light to indicate what he thought Craig and his crew would want to do....listening to my inputs as we went around back and front yards. A few days later, when Craig and his crew arrived, it was obvious that Dave had shared our discussion with them. They pretty much hit the deck running! When crew was finished, my 4 mature trees (25-30 year old trees)..a .Japanese Maple, Sweet Olive, Pistache, Tristania... all look wonderful, airy and well shaped. Craig critiqued a very young (1 year old) tall and skinny"Twilight" Crape Myrtle tree that is struggling. He gave it some "first aid" pruning and suggested "more water, less often". Crew guy Dave did some additional work on some mature backyard plants, a lemon tree and a couple of fringe flower plants. He did exactly what I wanted here even though it was against his knowledgeable input and may have been against what the plants would have preferred! But as owner Craig commented, "those plants were not writing the check!" Based on the expertise and experience I saw demonstrated by estimator, Dave, Craig and his crew through the day, along with the competitive quote, they have definitely earned my loyalty.

Loved these guys. First off, I am a DIY guy, and I do not like hiring people to do work. They never do it the way I would. This does not apply to Koala Tree Care. They responded to my request quickly. Showed up 5 min early to do the quote. Showed up 10 min early to do the work. My kind of people. I had 8 large trees to be taken care of and 1 tree removal. All trees in the 20-25 foot range. Before the work started we talked about each tree and what they were looking to do to it. Then I was asked if I was ok with it or if not, what I wanted to do. I was the customer and could direct them if I wanted to do something different. Then they did the work and if necessary asked questions on the fly. They assumed nothing when it came to my property even asking if they could raise the umbrella on the picnic table they sat at to have lunch. It was a hot day and the umbrella would provide some shade. During the work they accidentally broke a sprinkler because it sticks up high off the ground. They did not hide that and came to me saying that it happened and that they would fix it and they did, we even tested it to make sure that it was done correctly. I mean accidents do happen and they took responsibility and corrected it quickly. I do not give 5 stars easily but these guys were great from the initial meeting all the way to the end. I will be hiring them again when I need to do my trees again in 2-3 year. I would recommend them.

Koala was very helpful and provide watering recommend for trees to keep them health throughout the hot summer time.
