We had 3 pipes burst during Winter Storm Uri in February 2021 which damaged many rooms in our home. I like to shop around, so I contacted over 15 general contractors, and received quotes from about 10 of them. From the very beginning of the process I was impressed by Hugo's attention to detail, knowledge, and fair pricing. Many other GCs were price gauging at this time, some were "too lazy" to take measurements, and yet others never followed up at all. What I learned, from shopping around with so many GCs, is that many contractors will not scope or quote your project out entirely. This allows them to offer you a lower initial quote, but then they'll keep asking you for more money after you begin the project. This was not the case with Krago Homes - because he fully understood what we wanted and took the time at the beginning to properly quote the projects, there were no hidden surprises for us at all. We ended up selecting Hugo and his team to put our house back together. Our project included - * Wall & Attic Insulation work * Dry wall repair and replacement * Wall Paint & Texturizing * Full Bathroom Remodel (looks AMAZING) * Replacing of 10+ light fixtures * Replacing 3000 sq ft of flooring Every home remodeling project, especially a large whole home remodel, has challenges and unknown variables, but we navigated them super smoothly and Hugo was super communicative throughout the entire process. My fiancé and I continue to use Hugo and Krago homes for our other projects, and have just contacted him to remodel another bathroom in our house in West Oak Hill. I have also referred Krago Homes to 2 of my Austin friends, and they've all been very pleased with the finished product at their house. Strong recommend here!
