L.A. Drywall, Inc.

Very good vendor for finishing my basement. There were a few minor quality flaws, but mostly because we were hurrying them. They always showed up when they said they'd be on site, and they kept working the job until it was done. Overall, a good company to work with, and an excellent price.

They didn't complete the job to my satisfaction. Ultimately we negotiated and I paid them nearly half for the service rendered. I had to find another contractor to complete the work. The savings was not worth the hassle. They can likely complete simple paint jobs. Anything requiring drywall repair go elsewhere.

Working with this contractor was a nightmare. They ruined our drywall, sanding the bare paper without compound on it, causing it to "burr" up. Countless areas contained imperfections. They orginally missed an entire closet. Even worse, they ran off with our money, first missing appts made to remedy the situation, and finally ignoring our phone calls. We are way behind schedule, because painting contractors don't want to try to fix the mess they've made. My advice: stay away from these folks.

They did a poor job of telling me when they would be there. If they were scheduled to work, they would not show up, I would have to call each time they were scheduled in order to get them to show up. They also had to redue the two jobs that I asked them to do.

I would be very careful hiring Home Quality Services, how called LA Drywall. They were the lowest bid, however you get what you pay for. They would repeatedly not show up (without a call) and would not return calls. Additionally, the work was of very poor quality as they had to send out a second guy to completely redo the work of the 1st, at my material expense (the quality was still very poor). They also damaged my bathtub while hanging the drywall, promising to fix it and never did. They also realized they had underbid the project and never finished completed it. They just quit showing up with no explaination. LA Drywall is very cheap, but the poor quality and service is not worth it.

Overall, I was happy with the work. There were some minor things that could have been better, but you can't get perfect help. Cleanup could have been a little better. Communication with the workers was not easy. The value was good enough that I would hire them again.

You get what you pay for. An acceptable job for the low price.

LA Drywall delivered an estimate for the repairs below all its competitors, and still provided high quality results. They were very courteous, met my scheduling needs, and thus were great to work with.

I will recommend LA Drywall to my friends and neighbors. They are great!

The Project Manager, Ms. Mesa, was one of the most conscientious individuals with whom we have dealt. She was prompt, courteous, and ready to respond to our every concern. When one matter was not exactly as we had anticipated, she fixed it herself, so that the repair was virtually invisible. We would highly recommend LA Drywall, especially if Ms. Mesa is associated with that company. In fact, we intend to hire them for another project. Norma and Pam
