At first, everything seemed good. Mark Ballantine sent me an initial estimate. I made several changes and additions and signed a contract with Lamb Contracting. I paid them half of the contract price upfront, and they said they would start about a week later... this was on October 20, 2021. They told me the job would take 3 weeks. After about 4 weeks, Mark was already asking for more money because of soil instability fixes they had to make. This should have been included in the original estimate. He also asked for more money so that he could make payroll for his guys. I agreed to pay for the additional costs. Work was slowly progressing through the following weeks. They never had enough of a crew on site to make good progress. The superintendent for the job seemed knowledgeable but was not there for a lot of the time. They had to rebuild one block wall 4 times before they got it right. There seemed to be a general confusion of what was going to be done from day to day. In January, Mark asked for more money because he was getting behind. This time I refused because as I told him, this was not a time materials contract. Marks crew loaded up their tools walked off the job on Jan 28, 2022... without warning. They also made a mess of my neighbors yard and pathway between our houses...which Mark promised that he would repair. My garage and driveway are inaccessible because of the blocks and empty pallets they left in the driveway. So my overall experience with Lamb Contracting is terrible.

We have 1908's Duplex with 1970 addition in the rear that houses two kitchens. The 1970 foundation was not installed properly (the ground was never tamped down correctly) and the addition was pulling away from the house. Shaun did a fantastic job replacing it. If one can ever love a foundation, I love this one. It's not my first foundation repair, either. The job, was on-time, under budget and above expectations. Since then, I have hired them to take on other repairs that this old house sorely needs. I highly recommend them

Lamb Construction has been a pleasure to work with Abby and Mark Balentine. They have been most helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The projects were done on time and at a reasonable price. They have been very responsive to my questions/suggestions and they provided me with a five-year warranty too! I now have the best-looking sidewalk in my area and I'm going to use them for several other projects.

Driveway presented a drainage problem. Lamb found a way to fix it that was effective and attractive. Excellent customer service as well.
