Max was awesome, always called or texted me back right away. Price very reasonable. No surprise charges. Max and Rocky were delightful. They moved me out of state. They were on time, friendly, funny and very careful with my belongings. I highly recommend New Home Moving!

These guys did a great job moving us about 120miles. Did it all in one day, 1800sqft home in one shot. I would deffinetly recommend/use them again

Nightmare Mover Never use this mover! Hired L.A. Metro Movers to move us from California to Indiana. I had other estimates and LA Metro Movers’ cost was much lower than other movers. Max Faytelson, a principal of LA Metro Movers, walked through the house and estimated the weight and quoted us $8,000 for the move. His weight estimate was close to the weight of the other mover’s we interviewed. We signed a contract for $8,000 that clearly stated the contract was a binding contract for the $8,000 fee. We asked Max and he confirmed the $8,000 amount was binding and we would not be charged more money. We packed our own boxes except for TVs and paintings. On moving day Max arrived at 8:00 a.m. with a moving truck. We thought the truck appeared too small but assumed that Max knew what he was doing. At about 3:00 p.m. Max announced that the truck was too small and he would have to come back with a second truck but he would have to charge more despite the binding contract. He came back about two hours later and finished loading the truck. Max had me sign another contract for an additional $2,000 making the moving cost $10,000. I felt we did not have a choice but to agree with the terms of the new contract despite the original binding contract for $8,000 because we were leaving that night to drive to Indiana and had a car rented and hotels booked. What could we do but agree. It was not our fault that Max underestimated the size of the truck needed to make the move. On the day the furniture was delivered and unloaded we saw that our furniture was either destroyed or damaged due to the attempt by Max to “stuff” the first truck to fit everything. The top of my new front load washer was dented, a futon frame and two tables were destroyed, almost all of my painting frames were separated at the edges and most of the moving boxes were completely crushed. Needless to say we were extremely upset. We took the minimum insurance which was a mistake on our part. Max did pay me $600 for my losses (replacement for the futon which served as a master size bed was $600 alone). I told Max that I did not know the extent of the damage and would contact him if there was additional damage and he said that was fine. As we unpacked our possessions and had the opportunity to inspect our belongings and furniture we discovered the extent of the damage to our furniture and contents in the boxes. Most of my furniture was either badly scratched or chunks of wood missing, a metal pole lamp was bent and could not be repaired, and an expensive hanging Tiffany fixture was damaged beyond repair. It appeared that there was no regard for boxes marked “Fragile.” The cost of the damage was probably thousands of dollars. I contacted Max about the additional damage and he said I should return the $600 first and he would make an insurance claim, which was unacceptable. My next step is filing a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs against this unscrupulous and ine
