Louis is a professional with an eye for quality work. He personally oversees and is involved in every job large or small. You re in very good hands with LG contracting. My project included gut and re-do 3 full baths, and opening structural walls from 30 openings to between 4 and 10 openings. All new electrical, plumbing, for everything including recessed lighting. Job site was cared for and workmanship was top notch. Completed in under 65days.

As an interior designer that specializes in remodels, I have worked with many different contractors in the Northern Virginia area and I have to say that Lou and his team are by far my favorite. So much so, that I give him the first right of refusal on all of my jobs. In this area, contractors are a dime a dozen, however a good contractor is hard to come by. They tend to lack professionalism, are untrustworthy, are hard to get in touch with, rarely stay on time or on budget and sadly, many lack the first hand knowledge or skills of what is required, leaving it up to their crew to figure out on the fly. Lou is a solid example of what a contractor should be. He treats each project as if it were his own home, works hard to keep costs down and budgets in line, very responsive, completely trustworthy, timely work and quality craftsmanship. His experience is visible in his completed projects. He has two dependable and respectful crews that have been with him for years, which I feel speaks very highly of him as a businessman and as a foreman. Not to mention he has an excellent eye for design, the only contractor I have come across that I can truly collaborate with. All in all, I can say you and your home are in great hands with Lou and his team. You know that you get what you pay for so LG Contracting is a viable option if it is what you can afford. However, be prepared to fight for everything in the contract and for things needing to be re-accomplished (due to owner not being involved in work/supervising).

Best experience I've had with a contractor in the area. I heard from Luis every day and was given an update on the work, the costs, and any changes I requested. I always knew the schedule, the costs, and who would be working in my house. And the guys working in my house every day were so polite. My basement looks fantastic and my laundry room is just what I wanted. I'll definitely be using LG Contracting for my bathroom remodel and any other future projects.

Lou was helpful planning the work and came up with a simple, straightforward solution at a reasonable price to fix a previous contractor's major design flaw. He got the tiles and other materials I selected, dealing with wholesalers, saving me time and trouble. He explained everything and consulted on details well. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the work - nicks in some of the reused materials (tub and niche), the edging wasn't as smooth as I would have liked, some uneven spots where the tile wasn't cut exactly - but these things are small and not noticeable in regular daily use. The tiler will improve with experience

Had them install drywall in ceilings in three rooms to cover-up excessive cracked plaster. They did a nice job, removed and replaced ceiling fixtures and covered up the floor and furniture to limit the dust. However, dust from sanding goes everywhere anyway and splatters of joint compound and paint primer drips should be expected.

Luis and his installer were both extremely professional. Luis assisted with the selection of flooring products, referred me directly to his supplier to view samples and make selection, kept me informed of the status of the order, delivered the material to my house the evening before install, and appeared on time to begin installation. The installer worked steadily from start to finish. Luis returned at the completion to inspect the work and help with clean-up. Overall: excellent workmanship and professionalism!

These guys did a great job on my hardwood floors.

First, the contractor was friendly, helpful and pricing was otherwise good. But its little things on a job that can come back to bite the homeowner later. The lower ratings are for some of those "little" things: I specifically asked for pre-primed quarter round to be installed and then painted white. LG wanted to do stain and match. LG advised the pre-primed quarter round would cost more and I agreed to the cost (so it was clear on that point). What was installed was raw/bare quarter round with one coat of paint. Within one year it all looked dirty because the wood grain was showing through and it all needed to be repainted (1650 sqf of flooring was installed). Whoever installed the quarter round wasn't generous with the nails either, as the trim is also coming off many sections of base boards. So I now need to re-nail it. They do not do the full trim finish either. I have been lucky enough to have floors installed at prior houses where the trim was "turn" finished (no exposed edges). That is not the case here and I was left with exposed, unpainted edges everywhere the trim meets a door or wall frame. Yes its small things. These could be true with any contractor. I just want people aware so that they can be ready to address before installation if needed.

What a great experience using LG Contracting. They were able to start the assembly and installation of my 15 cabinets the day after our initial phone call and finished in three business days. They were quick, efficient, clean and courteous. Very competitive price and great people to deal with. I would highly recommend LG Contracting to others and will look to use them for future home renovation projects.
