Lori has been a godsend. I’d been putting off a much-needed redesign of my large apartment living room / office space for years. I’d bought a couple of good quality, neutral items (eg, a white sectional sofa), but most of the rest of the room was a hodgepodge of found items with blank walls. I’d seen things I liked but never purchased them because I wasn’t sure about what I really wanted, and I feared I might be buying the wrong thing. Lori came in and showed me an overall vision for giving more elegance and purpose to the space, with new furniture pieces, accessories, and a gorgeous, cohesive color scheme. Now it’s neutral-beautiful and everyone who visits comments on the stunning transformation!

I recently moved to Oak Park from Tennessee, leaving behind almost all the furniture from my traditional 4-bedroom house of 50+ years and moving into an industrial one-bedroom apartment on the 17th floor. I’d never really loved my furniture back home and was ready for something totally different. That’s where Lori came in. From a blank slate she created a serene, balanced space with exciting colors (my first time owning a peacock blue velvet sofa!), stunning pieces, and the perfect balance of function and the ability to entertain in a small space. Everything in the apartment – from wall to wall – is a melding of my traditional style with pieces that work perfectly with the modern concrete and glass of the space. The building management team has even said that they intend to use my apartment for photos for their advertising, as it’s the most beautiful they’ve seen!

I am so happy that I found Lori. My previous designer was good but her choices have not stood the test of time. I like things simple and very clean, but not boring so I hired Lori to refresh the space with new smaller pieces (eg drink tables, lamps) and colors (artwork, pillows etc). She listened to be carefully and knew how to take the basics and turn them into something elevated. I love coming home now to my new rooms and entertaining guests. I am eager and excited for her to get started on the TV room!

Lori is absolutely amazing. She transformed my home office from a blank cream canvas into a rich and textured oasis within the house. I feel so professional and have a beautiful backdrop for my calls (she did wonders designing my built-ins)...I love going in every morning. Absolutely everyone I meet with comments on this. She is great with color and furniture, and knows just how to accessorize the room in beautiful balance. Lori took careful stock of the rest of the home, listened to my wishes, but also made really good suggestions that pushed me slightly out of my comfort zone, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I would recommend her to anyone looking to bring elegance and meaning to their space. As an added bonus, she's a delight!
