I hired Luciano Juarez for concrete work after we agreed to the work, they started the work, said they did not have the money to pay for the concrete so I paid for it, the concrete truck did show up and the 2nd truck refused to come down the hill, this project started almost 3 months ago and I can not get them back to complete the work

I had to call and text them daily and threaten to bring them to small claims court before they came back and finish the job. Damaged my fence and did not tell me. I had to see it for myself after they went home on the first day of construction. They were always polite though. I asked LJM Construction out of Murfreesboro to come give me a quote to pour a level concrete slab for a shed. We were scheduled on Saturday the 15th at 4 for them to come out. Ana called on Friday the 14th at 5:30 to say they were running late and asked if we could reschedule until Saturday the 15th at 4. They quoted me $3,000 for a 14x14 concrete slab. We agreed and the contract that was sent over was a single page document on Google Docs for $3,400. I was told the extra 400 was for a ramp. They also listed 1.5 trucks of gravel on the quote. On Monday the 17th, 1 truck of gravel was delivered which she asked me to pay for directly. The amount of the 1 truck of gravel was taken off the $3400 quote, but the other 0.5 truck of gravel that was built into the quote was still expected to be paid to LJM. They arrived on Tuesday the 18th to start the job, and immediately asked what I wanted to do with half of the gravel that was delivered because they actually only needed a 0.5 truck of gravel instead of 1.5 trucks. So now I have paid for the estimated 1.5 trucks of gravel, only received 1 truck of gravel and only needed 0.5 truck of gravel. I have a huge pile of gravel in my back yard that I need to find projects for. When they left for the day, I went outside, found that they had damaged the fence gate and panel and never mentioned it to me. Upon inspection of the slab itself, it looked like they took the wooden board **molds** off too fast. There were no clean edges. All of the sides had blobs of concrete piled up on the sides but still attached to it. I called immediately and Ana answered the phone by saying **Ariel, I am sorry** But she did not explain why she was apologizing. I am assuming that was for the fence damage, but I was more concerned with the concrete at that time because I thought it was still wet enough to fix. She said they would be back first thing in the morning (Wednesday the 19th). The crew did not return on Wednesday, but Ana did call around 11am to request the final payment. I said I was not comfortable giving it until the job was done and Ana was apologetic and assured me the crew would be there Wednesday after the job they were currently working. I decided to trust her and made the final payment. They did not return on Wednesday. I called the morning of Thursday the 20th and did not receive an answer. I texted around 11 am on Thursday and was told they were **just getting up** and they would be there. They still did not show up. I called on Friday the 21st and received a feedback message that the number had restricted calling. So, I used my friends phone to call and it went through, but there was no answer. My friend received a call back from them and handed the phone to me. I told Ana who I was and that I expected to see them today to finish the job. She was apologetic again. I stated that **I would hate to have to take them to small claims court**. She said they would be there around 5pm. They arrived that day around 6pm. The excess concrete edges had dried by then, so they had to saw and hammer it off. So now the bottom edges are crumbled and have holes and gouges in them. The ramp does not slope all the way down to the ground as it should either. I will not be able to use it to drive a lawn mower up without adjusting it first.
