It was overall a good experience. They showed on time and did the job very well. Could have been little cheaper. I bought the material and they installed. I would hire them in the future.

The repairmen responded timely to my initial inquiry and to scheduling the repair despite a series of damaging serious storms. Arrived on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and willing to explain the repairs and options for future action. I was very, very pleased. Price seemed fair.

Lou was engaging and very knowledgeable about his field. It was his son who came out and did the job. the only reason they didn't get a 5 overall rating is because they left wires still attached to the door which I am struggling to take off. I'm sure it was an oversite and if called they would come back and take care of it.

We agreed to meet first thing in the morning, between 7:30 - 8:00AM I did not get a call, since I called work that I was delayed I decided to wait. I called him around 9:30AM, he answered his phone and said he had forgotten about our appointment and he would come right away. He arrived 40 minutes later. He proceded to tell me what had happen to the garage door opener and said that he had to spring the other spring because it wasn't sprung, and quoted me a price. After some time working on the door, I checked in on him. He told me that the spring didn't need to be sprung, because the spring he wanted to tighten was an extra and didn't need to be tightened. He finished the job and didn't say anything about the price that he quoted me with the spring tensioning. I gave him the full amount, but I would not recomend him for a job. He never made it to the appoint ment on time (I was late to work, I got in around noon, when I could have been in by 10Am) and he over quoted me for the work that he did not perform.

Lou was very knowledgeable about garage doors. He gave a clear explanation of his service. We have unique large doors and he explained the reason for the noise when opening and closing.

Lou is very knowledgeable about garage doors and all the equipment that make them run. He gave us plenty of advice on maintenance. We had our torsion springs replaced and added a key pad all at a reasonable price.

I hired Lou to install a garage door opener and I LOVE the results. He's a very honest guy, and even though I have a front door and a back door entrance to the garage he suggested just one motor for the front and instead of charging me for another motor he fixed the door (because it wasn't locking properly) and made it more safe by adding steel rods, and oiling up the wheels. His pricing is very reasonable which is why I went with them over other companies. I would hire him again and actually I already have it arranged for him to come back and fix a door and update the trimmings around the garage.

If he did not alter the track first, he could finish the job earlier.

I liked L & S a lot. They showed up promptly, on schedule and diagnosed the problem quickly. I liked the fact that Lou explained the problem to me and showed me the defective gears inside the motor, instead of trying to sell me a brand new motor. They had the replacement parts on the truck and did the repairs right away, then adjusted and tested the door. I recommended L and S to my friend Bill, and he called them and was also pleased with their repair. I am also pleased with Homeadvisor.com--this is the second time they gave me a great recommendation.

These guys did a great job. They definitely know what they're doing. Quick, efficient and overall just nice people to do business with.
