Dana was all about communication and gave a detailed run down of what to expect. Our floors are a little weird due to previous owners, but he made them beautiful again. I would recommend Dana to anyone looking for hardwood floor work. He’s the best.

Dana was great about communicating with me throughout the process and even checking up on how it looked after he had left. He and his team were prompt every morning and got the job done very quickly. I absolutely love the Swedish finish that he recommended & I really appreciate his many years of experience. My knotty pine floors have really come to life and look great! Dana was very communicative, prompt, and honest. Working with him was great, and he kept me in the loop the whole time. Our floor needed some patching and weaving in, and he matched the old to new expertly. So far, we've gotten nothing but compliments on our new, beautiful floors!

Dana was the fist contractor to reply. He was very professional and polite over the phone and made an appointment to come and quote the job. When he arrived on time, he explained in great detail what was involved with the job and what I could expect for the finished product. His quote was very fair and we agreed on a price. On the start date his crew arrived on time as promised and they were very respectful of my wife and I and also the rest of my home that was not involved in the job. They took great care in their work and were very meticulous and paid great attention to detail. They arrived every day at the time promised, they worked hard and cleaned up after them selves at the end of the day. The floors came out better than I expected. We are very pleased with L & S Hardwood and the work they performed. Dana was in touch every day asking if I was satisfied with the progress and quality of work for that day. I was. His level of customer service and the quality and value he provided are rare these days. When the job was finished on time. there were no extra charges The original price quoted was the final price. Before he left he asked me several times if we were happy with the final product and said if I find anything or have any issues to call him and he would come right out. We have not had any issues or concerns. I would and already have recommended him.

Wow! Incredible company. I had a very short time frame that I needed the work done in, and they willingly fit me in. Then they were here just when they said they would be, did a great job that was done quickly and well, and were very knowledgeable. The owner was in touch by phone several times during the process, making sure I was happy with how it was progressing, and afterward, when I had a small concern with the workmanship, they were back immediately to clear up the problem. This is a great company, and I highly recommend them! Update: While the work seemed good at first, within 6 months, gaps started appearing between the boards. I called and was told that it was probably shrinkage due to a lack of humidity. But I have been monitoring humidity from the first, and it never went below 30% in the house. I was told to wait until the next summer to see if the cracks disappeared, so I waited. After a year, I called again, because--no surprise--the gaps had not shrunk. This time I was told that the guy was on vacation--call in several weeks. A few months passed, and I called to complain again. This time, I got a probably more accurate answer--the putty they had used to fill the gaps between boards had come out. But they did nothing about it. My floor does not look good and has not since 6 months after refinishing. I do not recommend this company anymore. Update #2: Today, the owner of the company called me after seeing my updated review. He was very concerned that I was unhappy about the work done, and was willing to make it right. I am satisfied by his offer, and once again I can recommend this company.

My floor are beautiful! Dana came out and explained the process in detail so we knew what to expect. His crew was great they were on time very professional answered any questions we had. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We hired L&S Hardwood to do a whole home hardwood install. We had 3 bids and while L&S wasn't the cheapest, we had a much better opinion of their quality and as a result chose them over the other companies. Dana was readily available through the whole planning phase, providing recommendations and answers to my multitude of questions. He coordinated with a great local supplier for top quality products. Any time Dana said he or his crew would be there, whether it was during the quote, supply deliveries, or during the install, they were there on time and ready to work. When it was time to install, Tim and Dave were very professional and worked hard. They are truly professionals and it shows in the results. Every day during the process I'd walk through and was consistently impressed with the progress and quality. Without fail every day Dana would call at the end to fill me in on what was completed, what is next on the list, answer any questions I had, and ensure we were happy with the progress and results. Now that it is finished we've been enjoying the results daily and have received a multitude of compliments on the floors. They were also the only company who offered to do the Swedish finish. With two dogs and two kids they give it a beating and I'm really happy with how it is holding up. With such a large job there were a couple small spots that I was concerned with and without hesitation Dana took ownership of it, promptly came out and entirely corrected the issues. There are several hardwood companies out there and dealing with companies in the trades is always a gamble. I work for a company in the trades and deal with hundreds of contractors throughout the US. Frequently they are looking to nickle and dime you at the end, fail to show up, or are a bear to deal with. While working with L&S I didn't have to deal with a single one of those issues, and have no doubt his future customers will experience the same great service.

I took three bids for my job and went with L&S Hardwood. So glad I did. It was the best deal and there quality is second to none. They started with removing the carpet and framing the chimney. They had to cut and chisel around the chimney, which took almost all day. They framed three boards around the chimney and it looks like it is sitting on top of it. I was thinking of going with 45s in the corners but Dana said herringbone corners might look better. He was dead right. I also had two corners that were 22 and a half. He did a corner on it that he had only done once at a old mansion. Very unique. One of a kind. He bordered the Room with two one inch Windgate, dark brown almost like walnut with grain in it. He called me at the end of the day to make sure we were one the same page. I intend to have some more rooms done and he will be doing those. Wish I could put pictures up so you could see his work.

Dana was really responsive to my questions/concerns and timeline. He explained the process in detail up front, so I knew exactly what I was paying for. His guys were here on time every day, and he followed up with a call after each day had ended. I was a little uncertain at first about the type of finish he used. He explained it to me, and encouraged me to do more research online about it. In the end, I am extremely happy I went through with it. He added new flooring and blended it into the existing. Then the entire floor was refinished and stained in a beautiful natural tone. If I ever had to do it again, I would call L&S Hardwood to get the job done right!

They told me a week and they came in a week. He said they would start at 7 AM and they were starting on my floor right at 7 AM. They did a patch test to match my stain to my cabinets and they did not leave until they felt I would be 100 % satisfied. I received multiple phone calls to keep in communication and my floors look so expensive! I'm thrilled and feel it was completely worth it. This team is a home repairers dream!

If you're looking for a flooring company you've found it. Dana and his crew are on time, extremely professional and the quality of work is outstanding. From the time I called for an estimate until the end of the project it went smooth, their communication throughout the job was excellent and I couldn't be happier. I will never recommend or use anyone else. L&S is the only way to go.
