Lake Norman VIP Renovations

This was a total con job, overpromised and under-delivered in every area. In addition, they destroyed my personal property, never paid attention to any details, and made a complete mess of the entire project. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I am currently going after this company legally as their house is up for sale but I am in the process of attaching a lien.

BEWARE! Lake Norman VIP Renovations is not a legitimate business venture. First of all, the 5 Star review you see on YELP from Kari S. is from Kari Sewell the owner of the company. That is Karis dog in the picture. That makes all positive reviews suspect. Kari Sewell, Monique [Redacted], and Joe Morales assured us that they were fully licensed and insured. They are not licensed, I doubt they are insured. NC law states that any bid for renovations over $30,000 MUST have a contractor license. The bid was for more than $30k. The fact that they pulled NO PERMITS should have been the first warning sign. They could not have inspectors out to view work that was being done in violation of NC law. They took $20,000 in good faith money from us, demolished the bathroom, then essentially closed up shop and disappeared. There are several others out there in the same situation as us but for significantly more money. In addition, I know of at least two subcontractors that have not been paid by Lake Norman VIP Renovations. They closed this business, Lake Norman VIP Renovations, and opened another, LKN Renovations,[Redacted] , Mooresville, NC 28117, with Monique [Redacted]listed as the owner, on September 13, 2022. That was 24 days before our contracted completion date of October 6, 2022. That just shows they never had any intention of completing the project.

The contractor took way longer then planed from Oct it should have take 3 months and we are into our 8 months to finish. I wish he would have paid attention to details to cabinets tiles and paint. He still finishing the final touches and slowly working on us when he can. We have liquidated everything waiting for this the communication was poor at best he would show up all hours of the day and he would still ask for things to be done that I have already discussed with him.

Experienced and competent workers

Joe and his team delivered a beautiful master bathroom. The tile performed by Pablo is the most beautiful my husband and I have seen. Joe went the extra mile and completed requests outside the contract.

This is the best company from start to finish. The price was perfect. Joe and the Crew were amazing and so kind. They cleaned constantly. They even took the time to hang my curtains since they already had the rafters set up. They are military and I will get them for all my projects.

Joe and his team took over a renovation that had been done incorrectly by a previous company and they did not disappoint!! They were able to correct the major issues from the previous contractor as well as fully update my bathroom and kitchen. I am thrilled with both! Joe and his crew made sure I was very happy with everything and didnâ t hesitate to correct any minor concerns to ensure my standards were met. I highly recommend them and will definitely be calling them again when Iâ m ready to remodel my next bathroom!
