Lakin Waterproofing

He took on more work than he could handle by trying to remove and replace a cement patio. He did not have the expertise or even the tools necessary to remove let alone replace the patio. He left a pile of broken up concrete in my yard that I had to pay $340.00 to have removed and he charged me an additional $800.00 over the original $1,700.00 estimate for the patio replacement. He did not put down any tarps or plywood while mixing cement in my yard, which killed off large portions of my lawn. He used only 4 stakes on the 13' x 10' foot frame, which allowed the frame to bow 3 to 4 inches on the front and almost as much on each side. Which left the "patio" with a large curve in the front and both sides and allowed large amounts of concrete to leak under the frame and into the yard. The experts I have brought in to fix the "patio" he poured have all stated that it was the worst job of pouring concrete that they have ever seen and have recommended replacing or covering it. He did offer to come out and fix the "patio", but the experts all agreed that once concrete has set for 2 to 3 days there is no way to "fix it". He also offered to pay for the concrete removal, but by that point I had to tell him to come get the equipment that he left behind and never enter my yard again. He and his crew were at least an hour late each day and left in the early afternoon on two out of the three days. Even the waterproofing work was sloppy at best. I will never use Home Advisor again. If this is your idea of a "professional contractor", your recommendations are totally worthless as was my experience with Lakin waterproofing.
