Ken and his son did a great job building our deck. I had numerous quotes and in the end I felt like they were the best value. We appreciated his communication and responsiveness and Ken never seemed deterred at all by us checking in as the project went on to make sure we were all on the same page. I also appreciated that it was him and his son doing all the work and who were also the ones who came out to do the original quote. Many contractors hire out subs or have other contractor/employees coming out to do the work so it was nice to be able to know who was showing up at our house each day especially as we often had our teens home without us each day. They are trustworthy and dependable.

We enjoyed working with Ken and could not be more pleased with the deck addition he did. Ken was great with communication, showed up when promised and was a hard worker. We would highly recommend!

Ken and son Ethan completely removed and upgraded my deck this spring (2023). We started with sketches of the new deck we wanted, and Ken gave good advice on the cost drivers, construction implications, some style elements before we finalized the design details. With a lot of wet weather, the pace was a bit slow, but it was clear I was his priority. When it was required to slow down to get the details right, he would always take his time. He knew I was interested in the details, and he did not hesitate to talk over both design and construction details as the project progressed. The foundation/structure is clearly stronger and an upgrade compared to my original deck. The composite decking boards accommodated a couple deck levels, some edge picture framing, and a board layout without spliced boards. It turned out we asked for a non-standard railing construction because of the octagonal deck shape and the cocktail rail, but Ken spent a couple extra days to work out the details and make it come together well. Overall we are quite happy with our new deck and with Ken's work. His experience and confidence were clear throughout the execution of the project.

I connected with Ken from Angieâ  s and I am thrilled with the outcome! Ken and his son showed up on the day they said they would and worked each day, 8 hrs or more, until completion. The work ethic they have is unmatched with any other contractors weâ  ve hired. Ever. The quality of their work is worth every dollar, although they even gave the most cost effective quote from the get go. Our project was a large 2 story wood & composite deck. Itâ  s beautiful! I canâ  t say enough positive about Kenâ  s business. His and his sonâ  s work ethic and talent truly set them apart from the pack. Thank you!!

Land Design did excellent work. They made sure everything was done with the best quality material. The removed a window and put in a door to the deck the built. It was perfect with no problems. I would recommend them to anyone.
