Their faulty installation of something as basic as a downspout on my house caused flooding in my basement. Mr. Lang came out and blamed my house, and me for his subpar work! He left my house that day and never got back to me, displaying a complete lack of integrity. The workmanship guarantee on his contract means nothing! I filed a claim with his liability insurer, Auto-Owners, and got a resolution that way. Mr. Lang would not accept responsibility, but his liability insurer, and the forensic engineer they sent to my house to investigate, saw the problem, and I was compensated for the damages caused by his careless work.

This is our second time using Lang roofing Bill and his crew exceeded our expectations both times, Bill is an easy-going guy and his crew was very respectful of our property they cleaned up everything absolutely no Mess. His company is reliable fair priced I am not a person that leaves reviews but when someone exceeds my expectations others should know.

Due to time constraints and prior obligations I was forced to contract out this small job which consisted of siding two small dormers including new gutters. September of last year Bill from Lang Home came to my home discussed a proposal, wrote me up a quote, and we scheduled a date for the renovation. Two days prior to the job starting I had reached out for an update since I had not heard anything from the company. Bill called back stating that since I had selected a custom siding, production was on back order and the project would probably get pushed back 6 weeks. When discussing the proposal I stated to him I was looking for the work to be done during this time frame and he replied no problem. During the selection process it was never mentioned nor stated in the brochure that I was selecting custom material. If this was in fact true, I understand that this is uncontrollable especially since COVID-19 hit. Or maybe they just did not want to bother with a small project. However my frustration was due to the lack of communication and professional courtesy that continued throughout the process. I had specifically scheduled for new siding during that week because I was gutting the interior and installing new windows at the same time. Obviously this did not work out according to plan. If I had not reached out to Bill I wonder if I would have even been contacted. This was the last time I was able to get ahold of Bill. At the six week mark I had to take it upon myself to re-contact the company and they had no answers for me. I spoke to the office staff multiple times afterwards explaining my situation and they kept stating they would have Bill contact me which never happened. The office staff claimed to be understanding however never offered an alternative solution. What kind of company can survive on false promises? 8 months later in April, I contacted Lang Home Exteriors to cancel the job and to make sure I was not held to a binding contract. If it was this much of a headache trying to get ahold of them prior to work being started I was not willing to gamble with the quality of their work. Luckily they did not require a deposit prior to work being started. I am rating this company a 0.5 based on the lack of professionalism, the integrity and character of their employees, and their inability to stand by their word/contract.

Daniel and his team made me feel like I was theyâ re most important customer! My entire experience was outstanding. Daniel took the time to educate me on my different options for my roof project and guided me through the decision to go with Malarkey brand shingles. The day of the project went smoothly. The entire Lang crew was prompt, professional and took great care to make my project perfect. They paid great attention to detail to ensure I was completely satisfied. I was particularly impressed by how thoroughly they cleaned up everything when the project was complete. When the crew left at the end of the day, it was is if they were never here! Except I had a magnificent brand new roof on my home! I cannot be happier with the job they did!

I worked with Dan & his very professional team @ Lang Home Exteriors. We have had our roof done 18 months ago & I have been meaning to write this review. Our roof has been perfect & couldn t recommend a better roofer in the Chicagoland area. The work was done, under Dan s guidance, on time & the roof looks great. We get many compliments on our new roof & gutters. Great Job!

Dan and crew were excellent. Work (full shingles and some decking replacement) was done in 2 days in december weather. Dan was kept me informed and up to date from start to finish. He was also very courteous in not tracing in outside dirt/mud/debris into the house when he came to talk to me. every question I had was answered right away. Very glad we chose Lang Exteriors for our roof job and will go right back to Lang and any future home needs.
