Last Chance Chimney Sweep

Paid for 3/4 of the work and the work has not been completed. Company has not set up the time and date to complete the work . They have been avoiding my calls.

See my previous review! In a nutshell, I would NOT recommend! I have not had a good experience. Previous review: I hired this company to clean the chimney and install a new chimney cap on 11/18/19. In addition, William B repaired other issues that he found with the chimney while here. In January, I reported hearing a sound in the chimney which was surprising as you can imagine. He claimed that it was close to impossible but came out (5 days later) to inspect anyway. Inspection revealed a dead squirrel trapped in the fireplace because the cap he installed was either defective or the wrong size allowing the animal to get in. He informed that he needed to order a new customized fit for my chimney in stainless for an additional $100. On 1/15/20, he came back, installed and guaranteed it. On Thursday, 2/6/20, the cap fell off. I took a picture and forwarded it to his phone. To date, he has not responded to my texts nor my phone calls. I have made several attempts to reach him but have not been successful. My chimney is now exposed to any other animal that might want to get in. As you can imagine, I am very upset about this! I feel like he took advantage. Now, it is becoming clear to me that I will have to pay someone else to come out to reinstall it. This is unbelievable! I thought the companies on this site were vetted. I was wrong! Originally I thought William was an honest person (that is how he presented himself of course) and someone who stood behind his work. I have since learned that he is NEITHER HONEST NOR RELIABLE!! I am sorry that I ever dealt with this company. I DO NOT recommend him for ANY repairs. I am going to probably have to sue in small claims court for the shorty work he did! Home Advisors should ABSOLUTELY remove this company!! If not, PLEASE BE ADVISED EVERYONE THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY!!

Biggest regret of my renovation!

William was very professional and did an outstanding job of inspecting the 3 fireplaces. Only had to have two cleaned. He also recommended that we have the crown on two chimneys repaired due to cracks letting water in. He completed all the work in a timely manner and at a fair price.

Appeared to be a good company initially but today, I am sorry that I hired this group!
