The paint or stain small project for which I hired Mr. Perez went well enough. He finished off the cleaning, staining, and replacement for aged boards in my deck that another contractor failed to complete because of an injury. So, I hired Mr. Perez for an additional project to repair the stairs to the deck. I stupidly paid Mr. Perez more than the usual half of the project price in advance. I paid him $4000 in advance four months ago for a $4500 project, hoping that he would give me some priority for the project. Instead, Mr. Perez completed a minor portion of the project. He told me that he had ordered the required boards, but never produced an invoice after he repeatedly (seven times) scheduled times to finish the stairs, then failed to show up! He never gave me the receipt for the lumber that I requested and has not responded to repeated calls, including my last call to explain that I would post this negative review and contact the Better Business Bureau if he did not respond. I have paid $4000 for $1000 worth of work and a lot of frustration!
