From the moment I clicked their link on Angies List. This company went beyond the call of duty to assist me with my lawn care needs.

Areas for improvement: 1. Used large powerful equipment in a small yard, damaging the lawn, killing viable grass. 2. Did not complete multiple services outlined in the signed contract. 3. Did not perform services on a regular basis. 4. Did not inform the customer of what services were performed at the time of service. 5. Did not explain potential hazards and necessary precautions to be taken of chemicals applied to lawn and landscaping.

The reason I am giving them a 1.0 is because they only did half the project. They underbid the cost to mow my lawn, and instead of calling me and telling me this, they just mowed half of my lawn. I was out of town and didn't find out until I got home. My neighbor told the mowers when they were onsite that they missed half the yard. The foreman said the project manager underbid it so they were only mowing half of it. Very very unprofessional!!!!! I had to call them. They had my number and never followed up with me! Buyer beware because if you aren't at home, you can't be sure what type of service is going to be provided.

"Clearly we had a breakdown in communications on this job. We spoke with the customer after the fact and she was friendly and understanding of how the miscommunications "snowballed". We offered to come out and finish the job, but she said that wasn't necessary. I was surprised that she gave us such a low rating, while clearly we missed the mark for quality of service for this one time mow, she did not seem upset about it at all on the phone."

Quick to come out for estimate, fair pricing, and quality work---many compliments from the neighbors upon completion of the work.

Left the grass much too long even after several requests to cut shorter; very poor trimming; they were suppose to remove all the scrub trees from around the bushes - removed all but one; they charged $45 to just mow the grass and honestly I could have hired a 10-year-old for less and got a better job
Response from Lawn Perks, Inc.
"Some people are hard to please. Every time we serviced her property it was an adventure, so to speak. She may hire a high school boy to cut her lawn for less money, and she may get him to scalp it right down to the dirt, but she will not find a professional company to do it any less expensive than what we were charging. We are a professional grounds maintenance company, and we will not lower the mower deck to a level that will be harmful to the grass. It is our goal to help grass grow, be healthy, and make a beautiful lawn. This was not this customer's desire. We wish her the best of luck with someone to mow her lawn in the future. When we first went to bid the job, the bushes, fence lines, and "lawn" were really more of a jungle. Customer had us trim bushes in front of the house only. Trimmed back hard - several feet of growth removed, cut out dozens of volunteer trees from the bushes. It is possible that we missed one. But the property as a whole needs a significant clean-up. Thousands of dollars worth of work to be done there to bring the overgrown vegetation under control. She had an overgrown landscape bed or "garden area", full of volunteer trees, sticks, branches and weeds that she asked my mowing crew to mow down, which they refused to do because it could damage the mowers. This area was not included in the initial "clean-up". When we bid the job, she said that we did not have to mow the road ditch, which is not easily mowable, but then asked the mowing crew to keep it knocked down, parts of which had to be done with a string trimmer. Overall, difficult property to service."
