Layton Handyman & Maintenance, LLC

Did not go well at all. After inspection of work completed, I found multiple errors in his work done. Paint was peeling off walls, texture did not match my wall and he was also to put petty around the flooring underneath the bathroom sink because it was not flushed up against the backwash. I notified Layton handyman and maintenance of this issue. He said he'd come out and fix these. After multiple times of coming out to fix his mistakes he informs me he could not live up to my expectations and our conversations have become hostile. He would not be back to finish the job I paid in full for a job to be finished. It was a verbal agreement of $985. And never offered me a contract to sign. After 3 days of work he informs me he needs $200 more because the job took longer than expected. I paid a total of $1,185 on April 10th 2026 to Layton handyman and maintenance and he refuses to come back and finish the job. I mention to him I would pay him for installing the flooring and the painting in the guest bathroom. He refused this offer. That's when he told me that our conversations have become hostile. He text me and told me he was going to blocked my phone number and my text messages. I have tried contacting him multiple times since then and he has not responded. I am asking for reimbursement of $1,185 + $400 more to have another company come out and fix his mistakes that makes a total of $1,585 to be compensated for the finishing of the restroom and the mental stress and anguish he put me through.

My wife was very pleased with the work that Mr. Layton did for us. The closet was a nightmare and he did a great job of making it functional again. I will be contacting Mr. Layton for future projects.

I have employed Eric for several small projects, including constructing a bar to create an open concept between my kitchen and living room, building a chicken coop, and installing a dishwasher and kitchen disposal. His work is exceptional, and he collaborates with you to help reduce costs. He is the best handyman and possesses extensive knowledge.

He built me an enclosure for my water heater, Absolutely no complaints. Would highly recommend his work.
